I want to love you, dear Protank, but...

Why oh why must all bottom coil clearos be like this? Why do they have to flood if moved from a cold to a warm environment?
I know, I can just take it apart and rinse/blow out the excess juice, but I want it to be hassle-free and I want to love it as much as I love Vivi Nova, but it seems that won't be happening, at least not this time of the year...
I guess it'll be an indoor/summertime clearo, such a shame though, as I really dig the design, flavor and airflow...

Had the same thing happen to me with my vobcc the other day... first time in over 2 month of use that its done that. But... as u said, it was the extreme temp change that was responsible... it had been sitting I'm my truck overnight and temp got down to 12*f, after the sun came out, it had to have been 80*+ in the truck, and sure enough, gurgle city.

I think this is something we'll just have to live with, if we want to use bottom coil clearos - I guess temperature changes like that, are not too common in China ;)
Would be nice if it had a little pressure valve of some sort to fix this issue without having to disassemble it, but I guess that would make it quite a bit ugly too :p

This game is a progression and we have barley begun!

The protank isn't great but it's a step in the right direction.

It sure is an improvement to the T3, but this issue is one that will be hard to address, as I believe this is caused by air expanding when it's heated up by the room temperature surrounding it.

The physics can not be denied. We're asking that something that must have a hole in it to function be leak-proof. Not gonna happen.

Each generation of clearomizer gets closer, though; and for this, i am grateful.

That said, if you must leave a clearo in a car, leave it upright, and take off the drip tip to allow for the inevitable expansion of the air and liquid. Another option would be to store everything in some sort of cooler, to keep temperature fluctuations to a minimum.

Though I haven't tried this myself - since I've yet to brave into coil-making - an arched coil/wick assembly ought to cut down on leaking in top coil clearomizers. The thinking here is that a slight arch would guide drips back down the wick, instead of forming into the air shaft. Anyone experiment with this?

As for now, I generally use cartos and cig-a-likes in the car; to avoid the mess. I don't generally travel very far, so it's a good workaround for me.

If i could make one request to the manufacturers, it would be to Vision to create a glass V3 that hold 2.2mL

it and the CE4 are the only clearos i have that have not leaked. sometimes i taste the tiniest drop if i keep it inverted, but nothing like my T3 or mini T3 that both leaked after 2 tankfulls when not inverted. drops and drops, and turning the mouthpiece onto a paper towel would show big drops coming out. Retired both until i can learn how to re-wick because i'm pretty sure they are not wicked correctly from the factory. It is a shame cuz their tanks and chrome parts feel well made and high quality.

but why do they have to cut the wicks so short on the T3s? same for the T2 - why wicks only 1/3 to the bottom? My two favs have full wicks down to the bottom. I have to admit taste is better too and warmer with top coils. bottom coil was nice when it worked, but the sacrifice is less taste and i just dont really like a cool almost cold vape.

Give the airy draw a chance!

I've found that the Protank's airy draw forces me to slow down my drag. In return, I get more flavor and vapor.

If you still don't like it, you can use Evod heads to replace the stock Protank heads. They give a tighter draw and fit the Protank with no modification.

Is there a way to mute the Protank a bit, without risking flooding and gurgling? 'Cause man that tank is LOUD :D
Throw this on the turntable and crank it to 11.
