well she is a bit crazy but that's beside the point.
i'll make it short:
my sister-in-law is a writer and went to a mental hospital to interview someone for a book she's working on. later, in a taxi on her way back home she heard something in her bag. she looks in, and it's a tiny tiny kitten. she had no idea how it got there. either it crawled in there on her own or one of the patients put it in there (we like to think she made a daring escape).
she took the kitten home but as she and her husband (my brother) at the time already had a cat and
three rabbits (not too common in NYC) they couldn't keep her but my sister-in-law didn't want to take her back to the loony bin. so eventually i volunteered to take her home.
i figured if she was born in a mental hospital, she'd feel right at home at my place.
and she did.
here she is a few days after her first arrival. you can see she still had a little crazy in her eyes...
