Hi everyone. I am new to the forum but not new to e cigs. I am sure you have heard this story a million times and see these questions a million times but man can searching for these answers get confusing. So here it goes:

My husband and I have been vaping for about a year. I started with blu ( EW!), he started with volcano. After trial and error we finally figured out our perfect volcano system, but now I am starting to wonder what we have been missing.

My predicament first-
I have a few magma batteries and an inferno. I tried tanks and dripping but clearomizers are my all time favorite. I recently ordered what I thought was a regular clearo from DIYFlavorshack and it was actually one of those big Ego 1.6 mil clearo's. I LOVE IT! So I looked into Ego things and they seem nice and I am about due for some new batteries. So do I buy the Egos? or stick to Volcano? What do you all think? I want to keep using these awesome clearo's and possibly keep some small batteries and clearo's on back up for nights out and such. The only thing I don't want to do is mod. I have no interest in it, I just want the best straightforward set up you can find, with out it costing me an arm and a leg.

My husbands issues-
I am worried I am losing him in the vaping world. He works with guys that smoke and his ecig set up is just pissing him off. He uses volcano magma batteries and cartomizers. The carto's consistently taste bad and he hates cleaning them. He works full time and goes to school full time so cleaning really isn't in the time table. I am trying to convince him to switch to clearo's but he is worried they will break in his pocket at work. Are there better carto's out there than what volcano is selling?

Thanks guys! I know you have heard this all before, but like I said all the info out there gets overwhelming!

For your issues. Get a kgo, unless you are using variable voltage. Kgos are better and don't cost much. I am assuming you are talking about the vision ego clearomizer. They are awesome, I use the 808 version on my volt x2. The ego version is 510 so as long as you get a 510 battery, you can use it.

For your husbands issues. Have you tried fluxomizers from gotvapes. They cost the same as cartomizers. Basically, they are cartomizers with no fill in them, just wicks. It is similar to you your clearomizers.

I've never used anything from Volcano but by looking at the website, the Inferno is basically a knockoff of an EGO or KGO (although they are charging almost double for theirs), which is a decent battery as long as you have the 1000 mAh battery; however, their Magma and smaller battery would NOT do the trick for me. They look like a typical 808, but maybe I'm wrong? I think your husband would be much more satisfied if he got a 1000 mAh battery as well. I prefer the KGO, and a starter kit with two batteries with the same 5-click button on/off costs about $43, so it would be pocket friendly for him. EGO is pretty much the same thing also if you get their stronger battery. As far as clearomizers, I have been enjoying the Vision Extreme 3.5 ml clearomizers because I can fill one up and it lasts me most if not all day for work. Best of luck to you and your husband and congratulations on not smoking for a year! :)

Their shipping is the lowest I've found. It's just standard first-class mail charges I think. They don't add anything. If you go to their sub-forum here theres a coupon code for June which will give you 10% off your enitre order. They have the regular eGo batteries there too, though I know a lot of people say the KGO is cheaper.

Oh and they ship very fast. If you order from them, usually you'll get an email in about an hour saying it's shipped. I'm in no way affiliated with them, just passing on good shopping experience.

Thanks guys! I do love those clearo's. I thought we had found our match with volcano but then I couldn't help but wonder what else was out there. I am going to try to convince him to go bigger. I know the 808 batteries are tiny but he is always complaining out back how quickly they die. I just cleaned that clearo for the first time and it seems to taste a little different I am going to let it sit for a bit and hopefully it will wick up.

I will probably be getting a new kit soon. So basically the eGo and kGo are the same thing?
Thanks again!

The KGO is just an ego knockoff. I own the eGo but judging by reviews here the KGO performs just as well as the eGo and may be had a little bit cheaper. If you get your husband say a 1000mah eGo/KGO he's going to love it, trust me. One battery is enough for most people during an 8 hour work day. They even sell the eGo at last that charges via usb over at my vapor store. They call it a passthrough but this would alleviate the need for you to buy a kit or charger if you already have a way to charge via usb.

You could just buy two eGo pass through batteries. Another option for you would be the e-power which uses a replaceable battery, that is, it's not contained all in one, you take only the battery out and charge it. The batteries on these are much cheaper when it's time to replace.

I also have in inferno, and from everything I can find it is nothing more than a rebranded ego-t. For the money spent on it I could have had a SB or BB.

If your husband doesn't like your inferno he most likely won't like the ego/kgo's either, so find out what he would like in an ecig or what he is wanting and go from there.

The biggest diffrence between eGo and kGo are the voltage off a fresh charge. The kGo starts off at 3.7v where the eGo starts off at 3.4. Other than that they are very similar, the same size, and use all of the same attachments.

Cartos are finicky if you add drops to fill them. They also lose flavor after a few days anyway as the juice begins to caramelize inside. I tend to start a new one at about the 3rd day of use. Fill the cartos per the video below to get them saturated and top them off as soon as the flavor changes. If you ever vape a dry carto, the filler scorches and it's ruined. Keep them saturated. The first fill is critical.

someone can correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm fairly new. But if he or you vape any acidic type juices, some mints, citrus, maraschino cherry etc, the stardust types will crack. I don't know if those colored ones up there are the old kind or the new kind. The new kind are supposed to be able to handle the problem juices, where the old ones don't. These are the ones that say they can handle the better juices. Might be able to find them other places cheaper I don't know. But these are 5.95 and 2 somthing for regular shipping, I think 5 something for priority. VISION Stardust 510 NEW TUBES! : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

I don't know what your dh does at work, but someone else said they put their batt with a stardust in a hard plastic eyeglasses case and put that in their pocket. I have an 1100 mah riva (ego clone) and it fits with a boge 510 carto and drip tip on it, so I expect the stardust would fit, although my stardusts are in transit so can't say for sure.

As long as you're ordering new batts I suggest you go with the eGo Twist battery. At ~$25-30$ with variable voltage its the better choice compared to a reg eGo or Kgo. If you go this way don't forget to pick up a couple of chargers as well.

kGos are unregulated so they start @3.7v & drop in voltage till they need to be charged. eGos are regulated PWM batteries & stay at ~3.4V over their use period until they need to be charged thereby giving a more consistent vape.
The CE4+ V2 are the stronger ones. A 1000mAh eGo Twist with a CE4+ V2 sounds like it'd suit him better.

Also if he's among smokers most of the day, whatever voltage he's vaping at on a Twist, an occasional mega-vape-cloud from a 4.8v vape will leave em awestruck lol

You can get an eGo Twist 650 for $20 or an eGo Twist 1000mah for less than $25. That way, if your husband isn't happy with the vapor or taste of his juice, he can turn the dial and go for a higher voltage to see if that helps. I've found the eGo Twist to be a huge game changer for me and the difference in the amount of vapor and thickness of the vapor was dramatic.

The 650 is small enough with a clearo on it to slip into a pocket.

As for the Stardusts, they have revamped them and cracking with certain juices isn't supposed to be a problem anymore. I have never had one crack, but I don't use the juices that were causing the problems.

The ones sold at MVS are the version 2 with longer wicks. Exactly the same as the ones sold at GV.

Whats the battery life for the 650 vs the 1000? I pretty much vape all day and my inferno will last me most of the day, a little less now that I am using the stardust clearos. I might order one up!

It's really hard to say with any accuracy because everyone vapes differently. A chain vapor is going to use up the battery a lot faster than someone who vapes for ten minutes once an hour or something. The 1000 mah definitely last longer. Is size an issue for you? Do you need something small that fits in a pocket? If so, I would get two 650's and swap them out when the first one dies. But if you don't need to fit it in a pocket, you'll get a lot more battery hours with the 1000 mah for only a couple more dollars. Personally, I'm lucky to have both 650's and 1000's, so I use the 1000's at home and the 650's when I'm out and about. The Twist works very nicely with the Stardusts. I use it all the time.
