Nicotine is a trace element that our bodies require. It's found in many vegetables. It's used in all sorts of applications, that even though are not specifically developed for vaping, they can be adapted for our use. Also we tend to think of tobacco when it comes to nicotine when there are actually other plants that contain nicotine at much higher levels. For instance, there's a plant native to Australia that grows in arid environments and there's no regulation concerning it because there's no money in it. I'm saying there are many alternatives that the FDA won't regulate right away.. Who knows down the road though. It's up to us to make our voices heard. It's too easy to just sit back and think others will do for you.

So I'm not understanding... Will I still be able to buy unflavored nicotine for DIY?

Good question. I think it may end up being regulated eventually. If this happens by the current laws we'd end up paying a LOT of money per ml. if the current regulations that apply to other non-cigarette types like nico-gum, chewing tobacco etc. The ECF has tons of information on this subject. I suggest you try doing some searching on the subject. I'm not up to speed on all the terminology. I have a garden and can grow my own if need be :)

Nothing is really stopping you from raiding a tobacco field at night either....I may even help if it comes to that :)

Well that's an option for you and I here on the "gold coast." lol.

Well I would need to take some chemistry classes to learn how to extract nicotine from tobacco, i really have no idea how much nic is in a tobacco leaf. But I *WOULD* learn if I had to.

Most likely yes you will still be able to purchase nicotine. The coming deeming order wont likely effect that. The sale of nicotine itself falls under a different set of regulations. BUT sometime in the future I do expect to see changes in the regulations of whom nicotine can be sold to and how. Exactly when that would be is anyones guess at this point.

Online poker was only semi banned (there are still sites out there that accept US members (use at your own risk))

But yea, if vaping has the same issues, it will only be time till its regulated. Kinda like how online poker is getting there. For example they are finally figuring out ways to tax it and track winnings but the problem is that the players arent happy with how the gov't wants to do it. The initial thought was they would let the states handle it but then you couldnt play with anyone outside your state (which SUCKS!!)

I think as a whole we are hoping when it comes to vaping we are hoping for more of a regulation, so we can vape safely and not worry bout Joe bob's vape shop making a tasty juice that doesnt have a standard to live up to when it comes to mixxing.

But yea, i got burned by online poker too, lost maybe $50 total in full tilt fiasco, luckily poker stars was quick to payout and allowed too.

But back to my point, regulation could be good, overly taxing would be bad, and banning would hurt more people then help. I am curious myself to see what the FDA decides to do.

never know guys,

if anything happens, maybe this will push major innovation on manufacturers part to provide a nicotine alternative or who knows what some amy come up with. considering how the supplement industry has worked. anytime the gov/fda puts the ban hammer down. its a matter of time before a few chemists find a sister compound, a molecule off the original etc. Although this would directly mean no one would have much knowledge of its safety either.

im sure it wont be the end either way.

Mechanical mod and RBA's: check
1.5 liters 100 mg/ml in freezer storage (plus about 250 mls outside of storage used for DIY): check

If bad things like a ban or taxation happen, I have enough for years at the nic level I vape now. Which means plenty of time to titrate my consumption down.

PG, VG, flavorings, SS mesh, cotton fiber, wire for coils, and batteries all have applications outside of vaping and will be available as they are now.

I am good for life. But if I find a sale on nicotine, I will buy more. As stated before, if nothing happens I will use it up anyway.

So Calif
Mechanical mods in hand, VV and VW mods in hand, favorite 901 dripping atties in hand, 5 bricks of cartos in hand, RBA's in hand, nic in the freezer. More nic coming before hot weather. Probably more cartos and dripping atties. My RBA's are nice but I love my 901's.

I started having this recurring nightmare a few months back when I realized they would probably do something after the election. It involves stick batteries and sealed non refillable cartridges and nic at 2 to 4mg. Brought me right up in the bed every time, so I started stocking shelves.

They don't do anything I don't have to buy anything for a long time. They do their worst, I can vape. In the meantime I sign petitions, comment on articles, write my elected fat cats and pray for the people who would be hurt by a ban.

This stuff is all about control and money folks. The government wants more control over the serfs, they want their tax bite, BT wants to enter the e cig market sans competition and BP execs must be laying awake nights thinking about the loss of money now with NRT's and down the road when we don't get severely ill and need their meds to breathe. And the ANTZ alphabet soup agencies all get fat paydays from BP to demonize our choices.

If we win, some of those people may be out of work. Works for me :D

    No you can't
liquids will not get banned but it will cost more money to get them and it will not be as strong as you were getting before. Due to cost of making and production there will be fewer places to get them. Without a doubt its going to get harder for us but not impossible. Also as the cost goes up there will be a new supply of products the black market just like anlog cigs. Hell I know of law enforcement people saleing anlog cigs for $8.00 a pack making big money right here in NYC. Its all about the demand if damand is there product will be there one way or another.
