Wow, I've just read a lot of this thread and I can't believe it started in Jan 2009 and is still active and alive! I think that's not long after ECF was started? I did not read every post but get the feeling there have only been short periods of time when this topic was not a significant issue for vapers.

I have stockpiled a bit of nic lately. Not for me, I'm almost at zero now, but for our kids who are trying to quit and have started vaping. I don't see vaping becoming banned or illegal anytime soon in the US or Canada (where I am). I think control/restriction of nicotine is the most worrisome aspect of what might be coming for those of us that still need it and for the newbies who will benefit greatly from it. I'm positive ECF and sites like it will be here for a long time no matter what regulation changes might happen.

My opinion is support CASAA, do not panic and have a plan 'B' handy :vapor:

The time when this thread stopped being of interest was when the FDA
lost their case in court to ban the sale of e-cigarettes. Its now a popular
thread again because the FDA will most likely be coming down hard on
our movement via Demon Regulations ... BP calls the shots and the FDA
works for BP ... So we can predict the FDA will do everything in its power
to protect BP's products.

Don't ya just love our corrupt Nanny State ??!!

Me, I'm gonna do some stockpiling...spare batteries, parts, and some nicotine for sure which I understand has a very long shelf life. I haven't started making my own liquids yet, but plan to. I'm still easing into this thing, only started a couple weeks ago. I have learned I'm not crazy about sweet or fruity flavors, and tend to like the tobacco tastes. I've been an herbalist for 40 years so I'm pretty sure I could make my own tobacco juice in a pinch.

Thats cool, you will be able to help the people here with your knowledge when the regulations come down. Im hopin there will be work arounds, especially for us poor folks that cant afford to stock up at the last minute. Wish I started sooner, but I took time for granted.

The usual ways to extract herbal properties are through infusion (water) or tincturing (alcohol). Some plants have constituents that are soluble in alcohol or oil but not in water. I haven't tried this yet, but I suspect that steeping tobacco in VG will extract both the nicotine and at least some of the flavor. Anyone know more about this?

For making your own nic juice, there is this product out there, for breaking herbs and such down into a oil based product. I can not for the life of me remember the name, but I am looking for the magazine I saw it in. It is primarily advertised to the alternative crowd. When I find the name of it I will post it for you.

I found it, the product is called magical butter. It will do liquids or solid such as butter. Google it as I don't know if I can put a link here.

If there's even a fair chance of some legislation banning e-cigs/PV's/vaping, I would stock up, as would many others. Look what happened when Obama & congress started talking about banning "assault rifles" and magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. They flew off the shelves. The market is still trying to recover and there is still a massive ammo shortage.

I just believe in the long run it just gonna be treated like analogs, its the fact is the government isn't getting their cut (yet) and I have a sneaky suspicion that nic juice is gonna go up in price, I wouldn't think much. There's too much support and evidence for vaping and its health consequences and benefits. if we keep doing or part and contributing and getting involved they just can't ignore the people and our voice.
