I'm sure somthing similar has been mentioned already, but do your RESEARCH.

Don't be like many others, myself included, that spend hundreds of dollars on junk that will just end up collecting dust down the road. Especially nowadays, there's just so much out there, so many vendors, lots of crap products, etc,the list goes on.

it can be overwhelming at first, but if you take the time to research, you'll thank yourself later on.

Find a couple of good tobacco-flavored juices for your initial transition away from cigarettes. When you are really craving a smoke, a watermelon/strawberry/banana/whatever flavored vape just doesn't satisfy as much as the tobacco flavors. Blueberry Muffin or Tropical Paradise Dream will be a wonderful alternative (even initially) but do yourself a favor and focus on finding a tobacco flavor you enjoy. I'm a complete newbie BTW and experiencing this right now.
Oh my I second this soooooooooooooo much:) And remember just because lots of vapers do not touch baccy flavors - it is your choice not theirs:vapor: Also if you don't want to rebuild coils - don't it is your gear to with as you like;)

The best tip I could give a newbie is skip the cigalikes and get an iTaste vv/vw v3, with some kind of real clearo or cartotank on top, and remember that while you may be able to come close to the cigarette-taste you like, you will not find an exact duplicate, mainly because burning tobacco tastes foul, and 95% of vapor does not.

But, if you really try, it probably *is* possible to find something *similar* -- or you may find something you like a whole lot better.

My tip to the noobs:

Ask ALL the questions you might have. There will be some people who are annoyed by what they think are stupid questions, but there will be plenty more people that are all too happy to answer you. Questions left unanswered are the ones that lead you down the wrong road, and leave you frustrated.

If you want a particular (expensive) device, a provari, Reo or whatever... go ahead and just get it. Chances are, if you keep buying the cheap stuff you will eventually get the highend device you wanted in the first place and will have spent way more in the end. If I had a dollar for every time I've read "I wish I would have just bought XXX to begin with" I'd have enough money to buy another highend device.

Premium juice doesn't really exist... there's bad juice and good juice... there no such thing as magical, amazing juice...
If you think you have discovered one, give it a few days before you buy 9000mls of it - the vaping palate is fickle.

This is some solid advice for newbies and experts. Just because it costs $30 for 30mls doesn't mean you'll like it (but if you do, enjoy!) and just because 30ml costs $8 doesn't mean you will (but if you do, enjoy!)

On this one I disagree. I think it's the newbies first go to but let yourself enjoy flavors if that's what you crave. Some will want tobaccos but others will and should seek out any of the flavors of the rainbow that appeal to them. When I was quitting, the last thing I wanted was a tobacco blend and am glad I didn't seek them out. For me it made quitting easier because I could vape bubblegum or watermelon or tons of other things.

Agreed. When I first started vaping the only tobacco flavor I could stand was Ikenvapes RY4. Adding to your statement, people who smoked full flavors should not immediately turn away from menthol flavors. I stayed away from menthol for a long time "knowing" I wouldn't like it, but it turned out vaping menthol flavors are outstanding.
