Instead of a auto battery for the 901 it would have been a manual if not just going straight for the 510 and I would have been much faster in getting mod parts from madvapes for my 510 rather then getting the pcc and extra batteries.

All in all still very pleased except for the auto 901 which was only used for a week..

I don't want to tell someone else what to buy to start (except maybe 510 or 808), but if (hypothetically) all of a sudden I had no vaping stuff and had to start over, knowing what I know now...

I would get a Chuck, 4-18650's, Charger, a dozen 510 attys and a about liter of VT vapor's 'cool raspberry' 35mg (the only juice that has never grown old for me).
With that list alone, I would be set for about 2 years with zero purchases.

Now, having said that...I will probably buy ten times that much stuff over the next two years.

Little Chuck 510, bunch of 18350 batts and charger, couple 510/808 adapters, a few 510 attys, and a wide variety of V4L cartomizers and refill liquids.

But, I've really enjoyed the journey to get to my current setup. This has become a great hobby for me. And I still have spent less than regular cigs.

The only thing I'd change would be to have bought more blank cartomizers and more small sample bottles of juice, rather than a bunch of flavored cartos. No biggie, though - I can just rinse out the cartos that I'm not crazy about. Aside from that, I'm happy with the equipment I have (KR8 and a Bartleby setup for a 901 that I use for dripping).

I think I have beginers luck other than the $50 worth of prefilled USAmix carts I bought. I am very happy with my M401 with manual batteries from litecigusa.net. I am even happy with its tiny carts (I dont have any XL's yet). Since ive been using Halo juice the carts are lasting three times as long, my 401 is sucking them totally dry without any quality knocking off the vape. Im mixing halos freedom and new pure and as of now dont care to try anything else (except maybe halo's harley 56 and menthol ice)

I would have started with a mod. Although, my 510 got me off smokes, I wish I would have known about big battery mods. Would have saved me money on batteries and PCC's.

What I'm using now, which wasn't available then : An eGo/Tornado and 510 attys with my own juice using el-cheapo DK 24mg flavourless and flavoured/diluted myself.

That is classic. My sister was 14 and I was about 12 when she started collecting "re-burns" from ash trays. How gross is that? Kids those days...these days...any day.

Kits were a total waste of money. Here's what I would have.

For out and about ....
A Prodigy w/510. Small, sturdy stainless steel that won't scratch up in my pocket, all day batt life and it hits as good as some high volt mods I've used.

For at home .....
Silver Bullet w/510. Too large to carry but built like a tank, incredible vapor, flavor and throat hit. It feels great to just hold it, like a fine pipe!
The other thing is that I'd buy some blue foam and mod all my carts.

If I only knew what I know Now.......Instead of buying all the 510 stuff (chargers for the car, pass thru, mega batteries, another charger for the office), I would have bought the Chuck in the 510 mode, 3 rechargable batteries, one charger. Then a big bottle of Atomic Fireball juice in the 48mg strength. Pure Heaven.

If I knew 9 months ago what I know now, I would start with a big battery mod using 801 attys. Most of my 9 mods and PTs now use the 801 and it's by far my favorite.

As far as equipment goes, I would have just bought the PS Passthrough, a Prodigy, a Protege and 510 attys. Juice is where I screwed up. Wanted to try every flavor that sounded good. Cola ended up being my all time favorite flavor. Now I have a ton of juices just begging to be vaped. I have tried most of them and while I have really liked most of them, I just can't stop vaping the cola.
