Good morning all. May this be a wonderful day for all.

"If pro is opposite of con, then what is the opposite of progress?"

Oz the little lathe I have looks about like this one. Too small to do large projects.

Looks to be a 10x18 or a 8x12 (not counting the bed extention)? I have a 10x18, not much different than that one, but it doesn't get used too often anymore. Changing that belt 5x per project just gets old after a while. Plus if you run them hard, they just don't like to stay true & you can't correct them unfortunately. They make for a nice hobby lathe though. With a steadyrest you could make some baseball bats with it, which is pretty awesome. As long as you're making some shavings!

This is Lily the day she came home. She has some issues, but treats me pretty well. High maintenance, that girl. Got a pretty killer deal off Craigslist.

My 10x18 is Daisy, but I don't think I have any photos handy. Of all my tools I only name my lathes. I give them pretty girl names because if you respect them they'll be very sweet to you. Stop paying 100% attention for one millisecond & they'll ruin your life. It's a good reminder. :D

Probably someone with a direct current ecig they made with an rba that had the wrong wire. No overload protection. In other words a dumbass. You get a large enough wire and connect it to both ends of a battery what do you think it's going to do.

Congress!!!

It took me THIS long. ;-)

Nitol... Zzzzz~~~
That's okay buddy. Yesterday I was so tired I went to my son and his moms house to give them something and went to their old house. I called and ask where they lived and I was there a couple times before. I felt pretty stupid. Went home and slept the rest of the day and night.

Morning all. I hope everyones day is great. Be back later.

A train station is where the train stops. A bus station is where the bus stops. On my desk, I have a work station...

Ha! So THAT'S my problem!!! I can always count on you, J, thanks!!! *

And good morning, all. I am departing early today, but I saw this and thought of y'all. Friend of anyone's?

* Speaking of which, I have some questions regarding that cut-job you did on the Nitro. But I must save them for later. I'm going out on a limb to say you did NOT use one of those tools you posted the picture of, way back when, correct? We'll talk...

Have a great day, IKV'ers! Quack, quack.

I just finished and I hurt from the very tip of my toenail to the highest hair on my head. That was the hardest day I've had in a very long time.
Aw buddy! I hope this weekend was restful.
That had to be so cool to ride a snowmobile to and from work!
and you used to own your body shop!!!
My dad always dreamed about going to Montana :(
That's GREAT!!!

So even pre-season gets you going, J? I've tried but I simply can't... It's practice for me.

Besides, I haven't even drafted my team yet. ;-)

I have some news on The Great Billet Box Carto Experiment. It's too early to circulate in their thread, but I will here, even though it's still very preliminary. All I'll say is that there is now a 2nd person who experienced something similar to what I did. He though, is at a complete loss as to how that could be, because he recognized and is very familiar with the head that resides in the fillerless Nitro.

It's actually the exact same head that's used in the infamous Sabot, but he admitted that he's getting better flavor from the Nitro.

So the curiosity and growing experiment continues. Kat should be receiving a couple to try early next week. I'll be curious to hear a third opinion.

That being said, I wonder if Isaac tried one yet? Helloooooooooo Isaac! ;-)

Oh! And don't remove the flange. It makes it leak.
I actually had a customer reach out asking about this. He suggested on getting a hold of the BB team about a collaboration to make them happen to reach the 10,000 goal.
I didnt have enough time to grab a pipe cutter this weekend for experimenting.
The kiddies karate place had a big picnic and crazy water gun battle. It was awesome!

The image quality is terriblebecause I had to pull them off of facebook. We sold furniture this weekend and found another set on craigslist to break even (back issues were rising) The guys came and took our current and my phone got 'lost' in the mix. Also sold a phone to another person  Today I'm picking up a van to pick up the new furniture at 4. I'll try to get out early to pick up a pipe cutter, after making a deposit in the bank and paying for Platinum order.

Working on a semi-figured solid walnut bowl right now. Having to take a lot of breaks. Ran into a problem spot & all this sanding is going to give me carpal tunnel if I'm not careful. Those are a couple of my decorative bowls, this walnut bowl will be food-safe, so it's taking a little extra patience. I'll snap a photo of it in a minute.
Beautiful work buddy! Need an honest living?I can think of a thousand things you can do! *cough* ali'i :D

Glad you shared it DP. I found the link to it from the FDA Regs discussion area last night.

LOL That was too funny!!!
You guys crack me up. How is everyone? I got vape mail today! So happy.

I struggled for a while trying to decide if I was gonna go back to the rba scene and I have to admit, it's so yummy... Haven't had a single analog since I set it up.

And I have a VS rdna on the way. Weeeeeee!

:)
Looking super sexy Lofty, even more so on the big screen!

Wharf buddy! How did you make out this weekend?

Wasn't that obama calling in his staff for instructions?
Yes, I used a tubing cutter but you have to take your time so you don't round the edges in.

I'm surprised he didn't run that forklift around to use as a gouge. Funny video.

Sounds and looks like you had a good time Isaac. Sorry about the phone. I lost one of my Ikon batteries with a tank attached this weekend too. Seems to be the weekend for losing stuff.
You need a tubing cutter, not a pipe cutter. My SIL went through that once and came home with a cutter big enough to cut an exaust pipe.

If it's round, I can probably make it. :D I do some of that pointy corner woodworking too, but I try to focus on turning mostly.

Walnut with Padauk accent. I think this one got black felt in the groove for the mod IIRC.

DSC00090-1.jpg

Some 22mm mod stands before they got felted & some battery blocks. Lots of jatoba with accents of padauk, rock maple & wenge.
