Every time I log into ECF, I'm amazed at how active the general and new member forums are, and yet none of the threads on the first page mentions CASAA. I'm posting this in an attempt to change that.

ECF has over 155,000 members, well over 25,000 are 'active members.'
CASAA.org, on the other hand, has a little over 6800 members.

18,200 ECF active members aren't members of CASAA? Why not? If less than half of that 18,200 joined CASAA, their membership would instantly double!

Arguing the finer points of 'Vamo vs. Provari' or the advantages of steeping your liquid with the cap off isn't going to mean much if CASAA loses the fight to keep government officials from regulating our devices and/or eliquid.

Join CASAA.org. It's free, it only takes a minute and I promise it won't hurt...and you might even do something for the cause.

{{leaps from soapbox}} :)

Amen... Amen Amen...

Thank you...

With the FDA set to announce their deeming regulations next month... the only excuse for:
Not joining CASAA
Not becoming active in the Legislative news forums
Not attending/speaking at local city council meetings relating to vaping
etc...

Is that you hate Vaping and want to see it banned.

You will also note that in several threads, people are encouraged to join. Especially the ones that mention some sort of outrageous attempt at scare mongering and are asking what can be done about it.

You'll also notice that... they don't.

I know there's links in sigs, I know it gets mentioned in threads... but people still are not joining.

Do they think the FDA is kidding about regulations?

Do they think the recent letters from States Attorney Generals aren't asking the federal government to allow heavy and punitive taxation of eCigs?

That's my question... if you're reading this and are not a CASAA member... why?

The more members CASAA. has, the louder the voice we have when fighting outrageous regulations. Every single person that joins, makes a difference. I get that normally we don't feel that way, but in this case it DOES make a difference.

If you really want vapers to have a voice when going up against the FDA and all the other legislative bodies, please join. When CASAA says they have thousands of members, we show that we have strength to go against those who wish to ban vaping. We would love to see the number go to the Hundreds of Thousands.

I didn't fight when they were banning smoking everywhere, because I really believed my smoking was bad for those around me. I will fight for vaping because it is a healthier alternative for me and my loved ones that are around me.

CASAA does not solicit funds, they don't require a membership fee. They do need people to make the voice a roar!

If you can donate, great! If you cannot, that's perfectly fine also. No pressure. Not everyone can afford to donate. We understand that.

Please join so that we have a better chance of winning against those who wish to see us lose.

How did you do that? You took what I was thinking and put it into words. Awesome.

So the hospital charges cleared the bank and I tried to donate to CASAA. PayPal won't let me. Can't simply pay with a cc because it is "linked" to Paypal. Paypal says they sent me a new activation code but it's not in my inbox or spam filter. Let's see if I can get the banner thing going. Oh, and yes, I am signed up with CASAA. :) They rock big time even if paypal doesn't.

There are several things you can do (even if you're not in the US):

Join CASAA
Participate in the Fight for Your Right to Vape Action threads

CASAA will fight for us all they can, but we can do a lot more than just donate money. We can take out the 5 minutes it takes to make some noise on socia media. Even if they don't hear us directly, media will. If we make the hashtags trend on Twitter, we'll get more eyeballs as well.

Quoted again for more emphasis! :)

Why does it say I can't have two banners when other folks do? :glare:

Read the rules again.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-forum-rules/51178-forum-rules.html

23. Signature (sigs)
a. No animated graphics are allowed in signatures and there are no exceptions.
b. No affiliate links are allowed in signatures.
c. No commercial links are allowed. This means links to business websites or any website with a primarily commercial objective unless the site is related to electronic cigarettes and is permissible according to other rules. Signatures with links to Unregistered Suppliers and/or sites of dubious quality/content/reputation are subject to removal. If excessive promotion is suspected, an infraction may also be given.
d. Signature images (graphics, gfx) must be 400 x 65px or less in dimension (this means the width cannot be greater than 400px and the height cannot be greater than 65px), and no more than 25kB in filesize. We advise a .gif or .jpg file.
e. Members who are permitted a linked sig graphic cannot also have text links unless there is a usergroup exception for their group.
f. Members may have a 'Stopped Smoking' graphic of standard size in addition to another graphic.
g. No links (including in signatures) are allowed to websites we proscribe, or to websites either for, or that feature prominently:
pharmaceuticals, porn, gambling, violence, loans, credit, political parties, religious views, information considered illegal in most countries.
h. A signature is a privilege, not a right, and can be withdrawn any time for any reason and without notice.

You can bypass the PayPal and use a credit card only by clicking the donate button at Donate to CASAA and on the next screen, on the lower left side, you will see:
Don't have a PayPal account?
Use your credit card or bank account (where available). Continue

Click the "Contune" link and it will bypass signing into PayPal and take you directly to the credit card form.

Thank you all for supporting CASAA! :2cool:

Tried that but it wouldn't work but haven’t cleared the cache. I'll try it again after I do that. I'm on molasses-speed dialup so nothing is ever easy.

Retired1, yes, I think it said it was too big. I'm pretty much computer illiterate. I thought I saw someone with a banner like mine and the CASAA one. Tried several times and then it kicked me offline, lol. Gonna go sulk and vape now. At least I'm signed up. :D
