Every time I log into ECF, I'm amazed at how active the general and new member forums are, and yet none of the threads on the first page mentions CASAA. I'm posting this in an attempt to change that.

ECF has over 155,000 members, well over 25,000 are 'active members.'
CASAA.org, on the other hand, has a little over 6800 members.

18,200 ECF active members aren't members of CASAA? Why not? If less than half of that 18,200 joined CASAA, their membership would instantly double!

Arguing the finer points of 'Vamo vs. Provari' or the advantages of steeping your liquid with the cap off isn't going to mean much if CASAA loses the fight to keep government officials from regulating our devices and/or eliquid.

Join CASAA.org. It's free, it only takes a minute and I promise it won't hurt...and you might even do something for the cause.

{{leaps from soapbox}} :)

Thank you, Snowdog. I only just learned how to edit my signature block about 5 minutes ago. I haven't gotten to the how to paste links page yet! :)

Thank you for starting this thread and stating what many of us have thought for several years. And thank you for adding the CASAA banner to your signature.

I want to know why every CASAA member on ECF doesn't have a CASAA banner on their posts. It's just self-defeating.

And why isn't every ECF member, at least the active ones, a supporting CASAA member?? Is it laziness or ignorance, both or something else. It makes no sense what so ever. I know times are "tight" but if we can afford to vape, we can afford something like a $1 - $5 a month to CASAA. But I agree with many of the other posters that regardless of whether you can be a supportive CASAA member now or not, at least join for free and follow the calls to action.

Another bump but unfortunately, after reading here that there are 18,500 active ECF members, it appears too many ECF members are either too lazy or too self involved to protect their own self interests.

Unfortunately, it might be even worse than that, wv.

There are over *25,000* active members of ECF (not 18,500).

I simply subtracted 6800 CASAA members from 25000 to get the 18,200 active ECF members who are not on CASAA's list.

I hope that ECF has a very *broad* definition of "active" and that ECF doesn't have as many 'real' members as they state on the home page. Or, maybe many members have dual accounts, or something else is at work which makes ECF appear larger than it really is.

In any case, a big THANK YOU to anyone who signed up at CASAA.org as a result of this thread!! :)

People are not allowed to have dual accounts on ECF. If they are found to have multiple accounts, they will be moved on. The active member count is fairly accurate. ;)

I think this thread has brought more people's attention to joining CASAA. Good job on that :D

CASAA, an organization for vapers by vapers. Not-for-profit all voluntary, fighting for tobacco harm reduction wherever we need to fight. No solicitation ever, donate if you can. More members needed to have a greater voice when we sit at the table to give our side of the story.

We would love to hit the 10,000 mark. Of course a higher number would be fantastic!

I was thinking about running a contest type thing. Kind of like "Let's see how many people we can get to sign up?" type thing. Every new person post on a thread....... No prizes, just how many posts we can get...

Just a thought

I am game. What stakes shall we have, Ms. Robin?

I suspect you would be better at sales than you give yourself credit. You are smart and people like you. You are also pretty. If you are afraid to wager, just say so.

I know I can be intimidating, but you know I would never manipulate the circumstances to gain leverage over you, right?

Wait, I don't even believe that one...

ROFL OK, I am afraid to wager. I don't like betting, especially on myself. LOL
I already have a feeling I KNOW what you would like the wager to be.....if I lost.

Moot Point though. I'm Not betting ;)

Known well by my enemies and friends alike. I am flattered. No worries, we can simply make it a contest for the honor of winning. That is enough to satisfy my competitive instinct.

Fair enough?

It was the best idea I could come up with.

If you come up with ANY idea that can get people to be more aware, more active, or to join CASAA I will be glad to help in any way.
And that includes helping out with offering prizes if you think it will help.
