Count me in on any way I can help. Don't give up on vaping!
Yes, I know. I shouldn't. But I'm a handicapped person living on a small rent, and the failure rating I've been having is totally unaceptable. I've spent almost a full month salary on vaping stuff that mostly doesn't work and if it does, it's erratical. Spares are expensive, and although I have the knowledge I don't have patience or skills to mod my own things. Knockoffs are plaging the only two "serious" e-cigs suppliers, so when you buy, even if you ask a ton of questions, what you get is not what you bought. The only thing I've left for vaping is 1 Kanger T2 (that maybe is because of what David Solomon said in his video "Let it dry, or otherwise it will leak") and 4 or 5 CE3 XL that were the only thing that worked consistently throughout the month. Due to foreign currency restrictions I can't import from China or the US, they won't sell you the currency to pay for your purchases abroad, and the customs fees are outrageous.
I woke up this morning and I lit up. The Kanger is still drying and the CE3 XL after a solid month of vaping are giving up on me. I tried everything (or at least I thought so), and it's not working. E-cigs are forbidden in most Mercosur countries (Uruguay, Chile, Brazil) so a short trip to get supplies is impossible.
The failure rate (that in the e-cig industry is unacceptably high) and my high dissatisfaction with vaping are making me give up. Smoking is much cheaper, far more. Fortunately I haven't crossed it out for good. If local vendors get better, or customs fees lower I might give it another shot, just like I did three years ago. I don't want to spend any more money here and now. It's simply not working. Thanks everyone for help and understanding, and until next time. Be sure we'll meet again.
I am so impressed with all the support on this forum
Thanks everyone for the offers to send stuff. It won't go through customs, even if it's a gift, and I'll have to pay 60% of arbitrary "value" customs put into something. I've had a friend bring me a Nook Glow (y'know, 139 dollars) but she had to pay 100 dollars extra of customs. No, they want no imports. We're turning into Venezuela (The joke around that our country's new name will be Argenzuela)![]()
Don't quit! Vaping in way less expensive than chemotherapy! Check this website out: Vaporbreak.com Everything is SUPER cheap! Get the Phoenix atty and some extra pre-wrapped coils and you'll be good for months for less than 15 buck with shipping. I've spent a ton of money on vaping gear myself and all I have to show for it now is one ego battery, the phoenix, and a bucket full of useless junk! All the "cig-style" gear I got was a huge waste but once I learned what would work for me the saving have really started to pile up. I go for several months at a time without buying anything (I diy all my juice and the rebuildable atomizers and such) You don't have to have an expensive apv in order to have a great experience vaping. B4 you quit check out that site. Their juice is so cheap I actually almost bought from them instead of making my own, but diy is still cheaper in the long run.
Hey Susaz, I'm from Argentina too (assuming that you are from there), and I don't know about your experiences with customs, but once in a while I send my family some gifts and what not via USPS and they don't have to pay anything to customs. They just have to go and pick it up there because the mail service won't deliver it (the reason? Mailmen over there deliver by bicycle and cannot carry a box around haha).
Also, I agree that buying ecig stuff down there would be MUCH more expensive than just buying regular cigarettes. But well...
I was talking to an Argetine ex-Pat the other day about Mate flavored eJuice. Would you ever use a Mate Flavored eJuice?
Sorry, off topic.
Sorry to hear Argentina does what it does with the importation of goods and how the government wants to screw it's citizens out of money.
