:( Yes, I know. I shouldn't. But I'm a handicapped person living on a small rent, and the failure rating I've been having is totally unaceptable. I've spent almost a full month salary on vaping stuff that mostly doesn't work and if it does, it's erratical. Spares are expensive, and although I have the knowledge I don't have patience or skills to mod my own things. Knockoffs are plaging the only two "serious" e-cigs suppliers, so when you buy, even if you ask a ton of questions, what you get is not what you bought. The only thing I've left for vaping is 1 Kanger T2 (that maybe is because of what David Solomon said in his video "Let it dry, or otherwise it will leak") and 4 or 5 CE3 XL that were the only thing that worked consistently throughout the month. Due to foreign currency restrictions I can't import from China or the US, they won't sell you the currency to pay for your purchases abroad, and the customs fees are outrageous.

I woke up this morning and I lit up. The Kanger is still drying and the CE3 XL after a solid month of vaping are giving up on me. I tried everything (or at least I thought so), and it's not working. E-cigs are forbidden in most Mercosur countries (Uruguay, Chile, Brazil) so a short trip to get supplies is impossible.

The failure rate (that in the e-cig industry is unacceptably high) and my high dissatisfaction with vaping are making me give up. Smoking is much cheaper, far more. Fortunately I haven't crossed it out for good. If local vendors get better, or customs fees lower I might give it another shot, just like I did three years ago. I don't want to spend any more money here and now. It's simply not working. Thanks everyone for help and understanding, and until next time. Be sure we'll meet again.

Sadly, those contries forbid or make it down right impossible to get e-Cig supplies only for one reason.

They NEED the tax revenue from selling cigarettes. So instead of allowing their citizens a healthier alternative; they Force them to use Tobacco products - well not force, but if you need that Nic fix...! That is the only reason to outlaw or introduce a 'NEW' tax for the eCig equipment, or it could just be a tax on the juice.

I hate to say it but if they ever try to tax eLiquid because it's 'Tobacco' I will be beyond Mad, and I don't get Mad too often, by design I don't!

Susaz,

I have an unused new eGo dual batt 650 kit that's worth about $3 to me (as spare parts
icon_wink.gif
). If that would make a difference, PM me! I think I could also find some extra spare parts plus some natural 'lubricants' (joose) to keep you in the vape for a while.

On the other hand, if everybody chipped in on a round trip ticket (air, ship, whatever...) I could arrange a delivery of the 'spare parts & lubes' in person!

Seriously, if declared value is the limiting and regulatory issue, we can deal with that. Again, PM me if this would work for you!

ETA: Note, if you do not live in Argentina and your name is not Susaz, don't bother to PM me on this offer...

Your country is doing the same thing my old friends country is. He is from Uruguay. But there are ways to keep it way under 25 dollars though. Phoenix Rebuildable Atomizer - Clone This rebuildable is SUPER CHEAP, and i saw some reviews on youtube and it has holes under the screws so you dont have to wrap it. Also Rebuildable Atomizer - Bundle 6 Wick and Coil sets so you get the parts that came with the kit plus 12 extra coils+wicks for under 20 bucks. If this will help I can order one and have it sent to you!!

I'll be honest, I'm from Australia and cigarettes cost $16 a packet... Vaping is going to save me thousands of dollars and save my health... How much is your health worth? You can't afford not to vape. I can't quit nicotine... If I didn't vape, I'd smoke which is much more debilitating to my health... Don't give up, find the solution!

Thanks everyone for the offers to send stuff. It won't go through customs, even if it's a gift, and I'll have to pay 60% of arbitrary "value" customs put into something. I've had a friend bring me a Nook Glow (y'know, 139 dollars) but she had to pay 100 dollars extra of customs. No, they want no imports. We're turning into Venezuela (The joke around that our country's new name will be Argenzuela)

I was talking to an Argetine ex-Pat the other day about Mate flavored eJuice. Would you ever use a Mate Flavored eJuice?
Sorry, off topic.

Sorry to hear Argentina does what it does with the importation of goods and how the government wants to screw it's citizens out of money.

Don't quit! Vaping in way less expensive than chemotherapy! Check this website out: Vaporbreak.com Everything is SUPER cheap! Get the Phoenix atty and some extra pre-wrapped coils and you'll be good for months for less than 15 buck with shipping. I've spent a ton of money on vaping gear myself and all I have to show for it now is one ego battery, the phoenix, and a bucket full of useless junk! All the "cig-style" gear I got was a huge waste but once I learned what would work for me the saving have really started to pile up. I go for several months at a time without buying anything (I diy all my juice and the rebuildable atomizers and such) You don't have to have an expensive apv in order to have a great experience vaping. B4 you quit check out that site. Their juice is so cheap I actually almost bought from them instead of making my own, but diy is still cheaper in the long run.

Sorry< just read that you are in Argentina and can't order gear. I feel for you. Good luck with whatever you do, but try your best to stay away from the death sticks if at all possible.

 I am amazed buy the outpouring of care! We all feel your pain and want to help. I understand your reasons but nobody here wants to see somebody go back after coming so far. Just to try vaping is a feat unto itself to get away from cigarettes, please find another way to say off cigs. I wish you the best considering the circumstances you face and know we are here for you!

Had a couple from Argentina out fishing a few weeks ago and they were saying basically the same thing. The country is in big trouble financially. They are wealthy by Argentinian standards and still would not bring any souvenirs back as they explained to me they would be taxed through the roof. They are looking for a way out, but would have to give up everything. Such a shame as they were very nice, well educated, respectful people who are pretty much stuck.

Susaz, I really hope things work out for you. Good luck!

Hey Susaz, I'm from Argentina too (assuming that you are from there), and I don't know about your experiences with customs, but once in a while I send my family some gifts and what not via USPS and they don't have to pay anything to customs. They just have to go and pick it up there because the mail service won't deliver it (the reason? Mailmen over there deliver by bicycle and cannot carry a box around haha).
Also, I agree that buying ecig stuff down there would be MUCH more expensive than just buying regular cigarettes. But well...

Got ya now... Problem is two parts: I no longer have a credit card, credit card expenditures abroad are now charged with 15% tax (deductible from your Bienes Personales at the end of the year, which I don't pay), and, of course customs. I might get lucky and just pick it up from the mail office, OR have to go to Ezeiza customs to pick it up (oh yes, gets worse).

Seems Kanger T2 are working for the time being. Last week I was in despair... We'll see, there are bad days and good days.

Shouldn't be too tough to extract... I'll think of something. It'll be TOO bitter anyway! I have my mate sweet.
On one hand they're doing things right, but not completely. And too fast. Inflation is eating up our bones. But we're better off than Europe right now...
