After having mine for a little less than a day, I'm calling it the LeakTank2. The kit's worth it, but I would highly suggest getting another tank as well. Or buying a lot of paper towels.

Been fighting with my tank since I got it.. just ordered two kayfun lite plus (for myself and wife's).. figured if I have to recoil this thing id rather do it with one thats made for it.. the extra coils are worse because it has the air flow issue and didnt like the fact that id have to unscrew the tank to the point where it kinda wobbles.. managed to figure it out so its working for now..

Now y'all got me worried. I like the flavor I'm using (honeydew- light orange color) and want to be able to taste the stuff as I've gotten used to using a drip style thing. Are there any options for rugged and still flavor allowing (carto, clearo or whatever the other thing is )

Anything other than glass won't break easily, and even the glass ones that are wrapped in metal are pretty sturdy. The ProVari kit comes with a Protank, so you can get an idea of what the system is like.

Pyrex / borosilicate glass carto tanks like Phiniac or Ibtanked are quite thick & sturdy even though they are glass.
I haven't broke one yet, that says a lot.

The tanks use cartomizers with holes punched or drilled in them, I usually I get 6 ~ 12 days out of a carto before it needs to be replaced.
Flavor throat hit & vapor production is excellent using carto tanks. Carto's are inexpensive in 5 or more pack quantities.

The prostank is absolutely with out any doubt my least favorite delivery device, I'd rather vape a dirty sock that's been spayed with wd40 than use a prostank 1, 2 or 3.
But, that's just me, some folks actually like them.

Bottom line vaping takes quite a bit of experimentation to find what you like best.
There isn't anyway for any of us to tell you what you're gonna like, we make suggestions based on our experiences and what we've found to work best for us.
You may love the prostank, or you might love a carto tank, or a carto by itself, or any of the dozens of delivery devices available.

I've found that Protanks work just fine with unflavored juice :D

I think it works well when it's not leaking. Unfortunately it... hold on I need to grab a paper towel.

ProTanks, like everything made in China, have quality control issues...

Some leak, some taste terrible...

Mine is leak free, thankfully... And most of the heads I've used have tasted just fine for about a week, then I toss them out and replace it. They're cheap enough, about $1 each, depending on where you buy them... I personally don't mind the ProTank, and if you're getting the Tatroe bottom cap and Tatroe tank, what you are essentially doing is buying a heavily modified ProTank "Clone" that uses the same heads as a ProTank/EVOD. From what I gather, using the Tatroe Tank and Base plate will alleviate airflow issues and leaking issues. So you should be fine... Especially considering the craftsmanship from Tatroe is going to be leaps and bounds better than the craftsmanship you get from Kanger.

The thing is, especially with anything Tatroe makes, it will retain a hefty resale value. If you don't like it, just sell it in the classies. Somebody will gladly buy it from you at nearly no loss to you. That's one of the great things about the ECF community. Never be afraid to experiment, even if it costs a little bit of many... Nearly everything you don't like, someone else does like it, and will buy it from you.

I'm always looking for something new and interesting in the classifieds...

Ok I read what I asked to read. I'm currently using the juicer that I have to pull the tip off and drip the juice on everytime I use it. The cape taste awesome and I love how cool the vapor is. What sort of tank will give me something close to that and be durable? I'm terrified of the pro tank now by the way.

Ditto on the carto tanks.

Carto tanks don't taste like dripping, but for me they are the next thing closest, unless you use a bottom-feeder. I've heard mixed reviews about the Aurora, which is a liquid-feed sort of clearo-ish combo. It also has eGo threading, so you would have to use an adaptor.

The protank 2 works on my provari.. It has not leaked.
I work on cars for a living and I am also hard on stuff. So far no problems. The protank as survived a few drops so far.
Also if you are worried about finish why not get the satin stainless. There is no finish to wear off. If you scratch it up you can disassemble it and glass-bead,brush or polish it.

The only thing that I've found (I did skip the genny style atomizers) as good as drippers, is the newer RTAs. You're getting into more money with an RTA, but once you've tried one like the Kayfun or Taifun, you'll probably never look back.

Think of it this way, the difference between a RTA and something like a Protank, is the same difference between a Provari and a Vamo. There's just no comparison.

I'd at least try out the ProTank... They have a love/hate following, not really in between... You may love it... You're getting one in your kit anyway, so it's worth a test drive.

Cartos are going to be consistent. The Ikenvape cartos are going to have the best flavor, with the Boge and SmokTech cartos coming in behind. The Boge and SmokTech cartos are a crapshoot... I've had many that were great, and a handful that were horrible. The Ikenvape is nice every time...

I must chime in, and say I for one, like the pro tank 1, and the tatroe tanks with end cap, they might mute the flavor a bit, but I have one tatroe, that I have beat the hell out of it, and it keeps going. As far as leaks goes, mabe a drop or 2 on the post but not much, and you cant beat the easy use of them. I know there are better tanks, like the Kayfun lite that are fantastic, but for getting started, I recommend these.
I also recommend that if you don't get the tatroe tank, that you buy their tatroe end cap for it, to use on the protank, it is better quality.
