Just a side note.....It could be that some of those infections are viral, in which case no antibiotic is going help, and viruses can take time and move to other areas. And often it is difficult to determine the difference.

It really is a process of elimination, remove one thing from the equation and see if it applies then move to another.

I'm no doctor and it's really hard to tell based on the information provided that vaping is the root cause of all the problems sighted... Most of this sounds like skin issues. Have you seen a dermatologist?

No mention of the brand of juice being consumed, nicotine level, VG/PG content, flavorings... What if anything, have you tried to alter in your vaping consumption to see if it helps or not?

If I were to suspect vaping then it would seem to me that a simple change could determine if, in fact, vaping was the cause.

Quit vaping... immediately and see what effect it has on all these ailments.

You could switch over to patches, lozenges, gum or worst case... start smoking again.

Please do not take this wrong but herpes can cause many of the same symptoms. NOT std herpes but cold sore type herpes. It can infect the veins that run inside the cheeks. It can infect the eyes also in the form of a stye. Gums can also get bumps as well as lips and anywhere on the face. If you are a carrier of herpes then severe weather changes, extreme cold, sunburn or windburn can also cause an outbreak. Impetigo can also cause many pimples and legions around the mouth and nose. You can continually infect yourself over and over. Antibiotics will clear it up and it can come back. The same bacteria that causes strep also causes impetigo I believe. Both of these viruses can have yellow bumps, yellow crust and can cause swelling, pain, itching, peeling and scarring. Both can be treated with antibiotics and both can become resistant to medications. You should consult doctors until you receive the proper diagnosis and stop vaping completely until then. http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/skin/impetigo.html

That's a bummer. It's been almost a year for me too (June 11th) and my results have been the complete opposite. I'm not you, or your doctor, but it sounds to me like you've got some allergy-related issues that may or may not be related to vaping. Only way to know for sure is to quit. If you decide to go that route, by all means keep us updated on your results.

Some here have Auto-Immune disorders where the immune system constantly attacks the body. Be nice if vaping did suppress it, but doesn't seems to- at least for some.
I'm one of those... I have rheumatoid arthritis (a very nasty case of it - it's been attacking the sheath that surrounds the nerves in addition to the usual joint stuff). It's only been 4 months, and while an immune suppression effect would be nice, I'm not seeing it.

In fact, I think my swelling has gotten a tad worse, then I read that nicotine helps control inflammation and may be why RA sufferers have a hard time quitting cigs. Hmm. I went from 1-1/2 PAD to 6nic in 4 months. I'm thinking about upping my nic to see if it helps.

Ive been vaping for almost 3 years now and i've gotten 2 styes as well in that time. No idea if it has anything to do with vaping but i've also gotten cellulitus in my nostril and bursitis in my elbow which swelled up to the size of a golf ball. It was pretty great! Lol. No clue if any of this has anything to do with vaping but I think it may. I'm also a pretty heavy vaper on the weekends mostly.

I've been sick twice in the past few months. Interesting because I rarely leave the house due to my pancreatitis. And after two decades of teaching, I had a strong immune system.

I don't think its from vaping though. I think its from my pancreatitis. I can't absorb some vitamins and minerals anymore, so I have malnutrition issues.

I've also considered that the gunk in my lungs from smoking may have actually offered some protection from infections. A friend developed a serious lung condition from having parrots. When I researched it, I learned smokers don't get it due to all the tar in their lungs :| So, I think it might be possible that smoking may help protect one from invading bacteria as well. However, I think I would rather have an infection every few months than cancer or heart disease.

Good luck to you, and hope you find the answer and feel better.

A few questions. What mg are you vaping? what PG/VG ratio? How many ml a day? What juice flavors/brands? What types of coils? What kind of wicks? Without this info, it is going to be hard to narrow down what you might have an allergic reaction to.

If you are vaping 20ml of 24mg 100% VG banana flavored juice, you might be allergic to VG or banana flavoring or just that much nic, or have an allergy to the metal in the coil or the wick material. Otherwise, we are just taking a shot in the dark as to what is going on.

Sorry about your problems.
I can't get past this though:
"If even 1 person in the world can be affected by second hand vapor, it should be banned from doing inside despite the inconvenience to people".

I can tell you absolutely that one person has benefited immensely from vaping and that would be me. I will now insist that not only should vaping inside be allowed but be made mandatory.

I hope you get your issues sorted out. No more waiting forever to see the doctor! Your pimple on your gum could be an abcessed tooth. I wouldn't wait to get it checked out. I don't think vaping could have caused all of these infections, but if you even think it might have, you should quit vaping ASAP. It's just not worth it. Good luck, I hope you can start to feel better!

Seriously though... Put a doctor on speed dial.
