After 10 weeks using a series of convenience store eGo sticks and disposable clearomizers, I've decided to upgrade.

I vape to quit smoking analogs, and for pleasure. I run through around 6 ml of 1.2% - 1.8% juice per day. That uses up 3 batteries and I've fried about 4 single coil disposable clearos.

I'm not in it for the clouds, so sub-ohm is out. I'm not in it for the geek appeal, so a workbench with wire and coils and screwdrivers and organic cotyon it out.

I'm in it for the sheer joy of vaping and saving my tired old lungs (1+ pack a day for the last 30 years or so). Simplicity, value and flavor are in. A little style don't hurt nothing either...

I've done a lot of research, and have selected the following:

A Kamry K1000 e-pipe mech mod kit
An eLeaf iStick 20
2 Davide BDC tanks (with 5 rep. coils)

Will that do me well enough, or should I be looking at something else?

Thanks for the input!

Just to clarify a few things...

The Davide BCD takes the Aspire coils and is easier to tear down. The Atlantis is just too much and too big for me (at this time... I also read somewhere that 50w is recommended to fire the Atlantis?).

The Kamry K1000 e-pipe comes with 2 batteries and a charger. I only intend to use this at home or at work... not both. And, yeah, I'm kind of a sucker for the pipe look and feel (I smoked a pipe in the Winter for the last several years trying, unsuccesfully, to wean myself off of cigarettes... which are way too convenient when you're on the go).

Continue with thoughts, please. These items are resting comfortably in a shopping cart online. I won't click go untIL tomorrow afternoon.

Don't know what your budget is, and this may not be a factor for you, but it's a sticking point for me. I won't buy another internal battery mod. Once the charging cycles are finished, you have to replace the entire thing rather than replacing a $8-10 battery. Of course, by then you may find something else you want anyhow, but for me it's just a no go.

I am looking at the IPV mini, and because I'm gearing up for any possible anti vape legislation, a Reo, but that involves coil building. I did however find out that building coils wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it was. I don't care about clouds or a cool factor, but I do care about some idiot trying to take away my vaping.

Istick or MVP (20w or 30w) & nautilus mini.
Skip the pipe, the batteries & charger it comes with are usually very low quality, sometimes to the point of being the wrong chemistry for vaping use.
I've seen dozens of times, most likely you'll be buying a decent charger and 2 batteries soon after you get it, or, if it comes with ICR batteries before you even get to use it.

I also started vaping with an EGO2, then a backup EGO passthrough with Kanger mini Protanks 2 & 3. Then I gave myself a iSick for Christmas and the diference with the same Protanks was night and day even at the same or lower voltage, so yeah, the iStick is an awesome upgrade and now you can get it at MBV for $32. You can also pick up a lanyard/pouch on EBay for $9. Good luck.

I also read somewhere that 50w is recommended to fire the Atlantis?

The Atlantis may take 50 watts if you want to push it and get a really warm, borderline hot vape but most find the 20 to 30 watt range to be the sweet spot.

I'm vaping an Atlantis as I type this on a mod capable of 100 watts but set to 25.0 and it's perfect for me.

Eleaf iStick and a Nautlius mini would be a good choice if you don't want to wind your own coils.

Check out the Kayfun Lite Plus if you are willing to wind coils and replace wicks for a lot less money over time. A $7 roll of 28ga wire (100') and a $5 pack of Japanese cotton with last you a long time.

I get a couple of months out of a coil and it only takes 10 minutes to replace a wick on the Kayfun. That's including pouring out the juice left in the tank and refilling it afterwards. Once you do it a few times it's no more trouble than disassembling a Nautilus to replace a coil head.

Simple but yet easy=Istick 30w tank will be Nautilus mini or the Atlantis. The Istick have proven to be a great aspect for vapers and its simple to use. And as for tank wise Nautilus mini is simple to use to change out the coils. Atlantis what can I say its a game changer for people that dont want to build there own coils but yet the flavor the clouds I sure can't denied it but whatever it is its your choice. Just make sure your happy with it .

I'll post this just so that the OP knows that high wattage devices are not the only great vape to choose from.

Personal desire & type of topper used determine what wattage is best. BUT, just so you know I'm vaping at ~8 watts. That's because I choose to use low wattage toppers that produce flavor with a sufficient amount of vapor ... but not storm clouds. (and mouth to lung hits that my tired old lungs can handle)

All 4 of those use the same AW IMR 18490 battery.
The Chi You & the Caravela with 2 ohm coils in A7s
    The nemesis with a Kick-2 and a 1.25 ohm coil in a Kayfun 3.1
The provari with a 3 ohm cartomizer in a J-tank

I really wish folks would stop recommending the Atlantis as an UPGRADE to anything. From and eGo setup or even an Aspire Nautilus or Kanger Aerotank, the Atlantis isn't an UPGRADE but rather a whole different experience. When you "upgrade" to the Atlantis, you're giving up virtually any mouth-to-lung draw you may have previously enjoyed. Add to that not everyone thinks sub-ohming produces better flavor. Even when I build, I prefer to stay north of 1 ohm as I find the flavor more pleasing to me. I absolutely hated the Atlantis and actually traded it here for a standard Nautilus. A "downgrade"? I don't think so.

Part of the resin for these items is the price. I found them on sale at NWVapes.com. The e-pipe is $29.99 for the kit, the iStick 20 is $25.99, and the Davide BCD are $9.99 each. The coils can either be Kanger or Aspire, but are roughly $2 each.

My total bill will be around $85 and that qualifies for free shipping. From all the sites I've searched, that can't be beat. As a self-employed artisan broom maker, price is an issue :)

Another note... I live in a very rural area, and so there are no vape shops for me to visit for advice. It's you guys and YouTube...
