TB,

I think Canada post and customs has the teasing down to as fine art-----

they will hang on to one for weeks and then release it with no problems-
then another time - they release within days----

it really is a game of Canada Cat and Mouse up there--8-o8-o

2 orders, -----------
1st one -- 3 weeks ago still sitting in Canada Customs-
2nd one --- last week is already delivered and she is vaping it-

GO FIGURE !!!!!

there is no rhyme nor reason to it--
absolutely luck of the draw----------:)

I order a lot online and Canada post is the worst for tracking packages, FedEx is the best. About 75% of the time the web site will still say it's in transit and yet the package is in my hands and sometimes for days before Canada post updates the tracking info. It's like a package I received today through Canada post the web site still says "Item accepted at the Post Office" and yet I'm sitting here vaping my JC juice.

I've never had a problem with customs I've only ever had one package sit in customs for more then a day. They normally clear customs within a few hours.

The first thing I must say is charge your batteries! This will make a big difference in your first impression. As I said before fit and finish is excellent.Packaging is compact and protective.Once your batteries are charged and you load up your favorite cart and atty combo you might notice that there is no spring in the bottom of the unit. This is by design. The 18350 batteries fit well and seem to last a long time(still using batt #1).There was a glitch at first, tightened the unit all the way down and no fire.Loosened it a 1/4 turn and vaped like a champ.I believe this is a break in feature and will wear in as time and use progress. The button is crisp and easy to operate, very positive click when depressed. The extended cup is of equal fit and finish and has a spring to accomodate the 18650 or two 16340 batts.I was worried that the smaller diameter batteries would rattle around inside the case but it didn't happen.Six volts works very well with this and no adjustment or fiddling is necessary. The 18650's are the same with a manufacturer rating of 3000 mah! Can't wait to try out the HV atties when they arrive. All in all this device met all expectations and more. The adapters make atty switching a breeze and the packaging doubles as a nice storage unit(not that you'll be storing this much).Any qeustions?

So Solitary, is the button a tact switch or a contact button/switch? If it's a tact switch, that makes me sad already, since tact switches rarely provide longevity. Which means my commercial mod would eventually need to be self modded once the switch goes out. Other than that, I'm glad your liking the device. It appears someone else had gotten theirs and not so happy with it in the stickied Indulgence thread.(fingers crossed that they posses an anomaly.)

Thanks, I'm only making an assumption based on the poster that was unimpressed with the item, in which he/she made mention of a tact switch. Nevertheless, still looking forward to receiving this item to add with the rest of my toys.

Seven- The fist pack was a flop. Although I still have one working. The battery pack itself has proved to be unreliable, 1 out of 6 are in working condition. Even with sealing all points of possible liquid entry to the electronics, they still fail after a while. So I stuck with my flashlight mods and custom resin kits.

The switch feels mechanical but that piece of the unit is sealed at both ends.I beleive Di could answer that one better than I,with what has been stated about the unit on this forum it should be mech,no wires or solder connections is what I remember reading.

mechanical --- alll --- mechanical :):)

Did you make your own or buy them?
Yes, nothing special. The Fist pack mentioned by Seven, was a mobile battery charger that had been slightly modified with a 901 connector and the others with a 4081 connector and a switch. It was a great concept and worked great while it lasted. Had a battery status checker, rechargeable and can be used while recharging and most of all, charge a device while using or share the power via pass thru to a buddy.

Sorry to go off topic,

So I just picked mine up from the post office today. It arrived yesterday but I was in Mexico. Took 4 days from ordering to delivery which is awesome.
So my impressions are....
It's pretty sweet!! Nice solid build. Love the fact that I can switch between atty types. Good size in the hand. I had become very attatched to my nicosticks, but I think this will now be my main pv.
Just charging the batts now. So I get the full effect.
Very simple, no lights etc. Just a solid push button and vape away.
Very happy with it and the price is good.
I have a silver one.
Thanks eastmall for building these and for the great service.

Very nice,
leon

Mine arrived today, worked for less than 2 hours. I've used both the regular 'cup' and the extended 'cup', swapped batteries, swapped atomizers, etc. No power to the atomizer. I've tried the 901 and 510 adapters.

Furstrating, especially since it is the start of another holiday weekend.

Sorry for the trouble, and I called the manufacturer already , possible reason maybe the connector, we urged them to change all the connectors, and we could replace you as soon as the holiday is over.

thanks for your understanding and wish you a happy new year:sleep:

I was impressed with how quickly I got the response from Ed saying a new kit with the changed parts would be sent out to me as soon as it is available.

Yes, it's nice that your warranty doesn't require shipping things back and offers either a store credit or a refund via Paypal, but the replacement with improved parts is even better - thanks.

Day 2 with my indulgence...back to using my home made nicostick.

I have found that the 510 connector doesn't produce as much vape as when I have the same atty attached to my nicostick. Hardly any vapor at all. I tested the voltage coming through and it reads at 3.7v but just doesn't get the atty going? The 901 is better. So I have started using it for the 901 only and use my nicostick for my 510.

I have also found that the silver coating is starting to bubble slightly where the battery cup connects to the button section. Hopefully it won't continue.

The 510 connector definately has issues.

I also ordered 6 more 510 attys. Tested one and it it very weak with indulgence and doesn't fire up on the nicostick even using the staple mod.

Definitely a current issue if your still reading 3.7 at the connector and getting poor results in comparison to your nicostick(self made mod?). Voltage doesn't always mean much without proper current creating the much desired resistance in the nichrome wire. For instance, 3.7 volts at 2 amps is greater than 5v at .2 amps. Anyway you can test the forward current? I'm willing to bet it's that tact switch.
