Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Leslie and I live in Southern California. Looking to save some money and to stop smelling so bad. A friend loaned me her InLife about a year ago for a week and I really enjoyed it. I still have some cartridges left over, but no e-cig to stick 'em in.

I've been reading up on the forum and at first was so horribly confused. I think the 501 or the KR808 is what I am looking for. After reading some more, I think I am decided on the KR808.

I just saw in the supplier section that I have a local store.. Yeah for instant gratification! I don't a high enough post count to post in the supplier subsection though, so will have to call up the store to ask if they carry what I am looking for. It will be great to actually hold the product in my hand before buying though.

That was another problem with my research! There are way too many websites out there..

I want to thank all the wonderful people in this community who have taken the time to post their experiences with e-cigs. It has really helped me and I am sure I will be back with questions!

The KR808D-1 is a great, easy to use kit. Some suppliers that are local to you will offer "walk-in" service, but you'll definitely need to call and ask. There are a lot of websites out there and it can be overwhelming. My suggestion is to stick with the registered suppliers here on the forum. They're all reputable and monitored for quality and customer service.

Welcome to ECF! Enjoy your vaping journey!

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Leslie, Welcome to ECF ! You are going to do great ! The store there (I think Santa Monica ?) has a good inventory of things for you to see !

Actually I'm going to go to E-Cig City in Laguna Beach. I'm in San Clemente, so that's only about 15-20 minutes up the road from me. I already called the store to make sure they were open this morning and to make sure they sold what I was looking for.

So excited & happy that I won't have to wait for mail delivery!

KR808D-1 right? The D-2 (like Greensmoke and some other rebranders) is incompatible.

Vapor4Life probably has the best selection of prefilled cartos. My fave is WOWbacco (a cocoa tobacco, and the WOWboy is the same w/ a bit of mint added). The WOW Vanilla is a sweet marshmallowy vanilla. Both have a sharp edge to their hit. Also somewhat fond of WOW Sour Cherry. Other than that I use V4L blanks and thin (80pg/20vg) juices from elsewhere.

I highly recommend manual batteries.

I'm home now..

I picked up the 808d-1 in black..

I have 2 batteries,
5 prefilled carts
3 empty carts
Wall Charger/USB Charger
Bottle of RY4 juice (24mg..) Jason (the owner recommended the 24mg as I am currently at least a pack and a half smoker a day)

I ended up with an automatic, but I think I'd like to get at least one manual battery so I can see/feel the difference.

Definitely going to play with different juices in the future and I need to get myself a car charger...

Welcome to ECF. Hope it works out well for you. Looks like a good start. Keep us posted on your progress! You did great by finding ECF this early. Should help a lot! Nice that you have a store nearby.

Gotta watch out for those biker chicks tho..... 'course she's in Florida now, so you're safe.

Day 1 of full usage and wow ~ I'm impressed..

Yesterday the taste of the e-cig was a little off-putting, but I guess I got used to it, because now it's fine.

It's 6:00pm and I've been in front of my computer playing games all day (prime smoking time for me) I've smoked 5 analogs (okay I started typing cigarettes, but changed it because I should probably used what the board uses) today. That's huge for me! I am a pack and a half - 2 pack a day smoker!

Every time I wanted to smoke I picked up the pv instead of lighting up (Oh ~ Anyone else almost light the end of your pv with a lighter :) Yeah I almost did that today). By the time I remembered I wanted an analog in the first place I was good.

So it's all working good.. I finally got a good puff-inhale system down.. I'm getting great vapor and throat hits and am satisfied.

Now I am going to shower and go to the bar. Let's see how that works out. I'll fill ya all in tomorrow.
