Just grabbed a SubTank Nano to pair with my VTR. Wanted to go back to having my trusted workhorse for work again, now that the "new toy" feel has worn off of my Sig 150. I'm pretty happy with this combo, so far!

looking good tucked in there
how’s 15w doing driving those coils ? (.6Ω min ?)

seems a sturdy package ;)

Glad you're liking the SVD 2.0.
I'm very happy with mine except it eats 18650s faster than any other mod I have...
or maybe it's just my perception since I've been chain vaping the past three weeks while on paternity leave. :)

hmmmmm, that’s interesting to hear...

wonder which is true (it’s not efficient) (or your power-vaping style)

the Evolv “DNA Experience” microchip is an exclusive “device only” build
thought it would be very ‘thrifty’ with battery life
also having reverse polarity protection, step down technology and 20w limit

guessin you are using UN-protected & at least a 20A battery at minimum ??

with the quality & price, I am debating getting one for the wife unit…

she is not big on box-mods, but might end up with an istick 30/leather case

I'm running it in voltage mode, using the 1.2Ω coil; 6V straight. It's keeping up pretty well!

seems a sturdy package ;)

That's why I love this APV! The Nautilus Mini just didn't have the airflow for me, so I checked out the KST Nano - sure enough: 18mm

Here is a decent deal on the workhorse VTR. This is the bright polished version which seems harder to find.

iTaste VTR - Polished Denver

Dang, I'd call that better than decent. Most other places it's anywhere from $80 to $110.

How hard is it to cut off that ring? My husband's got a ton of cool toys -- I mean, tools, that he just loves to play with. :D

Took me about 15 minutes tops. Used a Rotozip with a cutting wheel to get the ring off. It is very soft stuff so you don't need to put it in a vise or anything. You then need to grind down the part of the ring that is on the inside. Need to get it all for the RBA to sit flush. Just need to go slow so that you don't scratch any of the outside.

Hmmm... I'm thinking he doesn't have anything right now that could do it... but if I know him, he'll be delighted for a new excuse to buy more tools. :D I'll have to advise him that the VTR is back on the wishlist, and it means he'll be needing some new tools as well. He'll love that last part. :D

A Dremel will do everything. Need to get one with both the cutting wheel and the grinder. You can get one at Walmart for about $40.

He's got a Dremel, I do know (he loves to gloat over having it; he had one for a long time, it got stolen and at the time we were too poor to replace it, then he finally got another!), but I don't know if he's got the cutting wheel, all I know for sure is the grinder thingie. I'm guessing that buying attachments would be a good bit cheaper than the Dremel itself? I have a b-day coming up in May, and that's when our tax refund should be back too, so I may be getting one of those VTRs sooner than expected; I've never yet found cause to go over 15w, and the ruggedness of that box really appeals to me -- I really am the most dreadful klutz.

It is very heavy. Especially with a kayfun on it instead of a straight clearo.

My sigelei zmax is fairly heavy too, with an 18650; I fixed a little of the kayfun's weight problem by using m-tanks, and I've seen some other setups with plastic chamber/chimney affairs, and a plastic combo tank/topcap that would surely help too, though I haven't gotten any of those yet; so far the m-tank in place of the 2 steel/1 plastic is a winner. On my gold kayfun, I prefer to use the segmented tank, just cuz that gold is so pretty, but when I use the segmented tanks, I have a hard time getting the tank off the base without loosening the bottom segment from the middle plastic one. 8-o
