Downed line that's now live, they might be pretty quick. Some car yanks it the rest of the way, and the whole area will probably go dark again.

Great avatar change! :) I've been trying to train my cats as mod-guards, but no luck yet!

Heh, I found that kitty online, but it was hugging a scratch-pole... I looked at it and thought, hmm, I bet I could photoshop my mod in place of that scratch-pole... :D Basically nothing photographic is safe from me and my photoshop... :D

I doubt it would make the whole area go dark again, it's just the line to our house -- and I know from my youth in a small rural town how long it takes to get repairs when it's just your house and no others -- but the fact of it blocking the road like that? Pretty dangerous. We have a brand new battery in that truck, but it won't last forever, so I wish they'd haul themselves out here and get it tacked up.

OMG... we just got to enjoy (HAH!) an hour and a half power outage!

The power's back on -- obviously! -- but while we were sitting in the dark, there was this terrific crash... a big damn limb fell off a pine tree right onto our house! Pulled the power line down; while the juice was off, my husband pulled the giant limb off the line, but the line is still hanging so low, if anyone drives on the left side of the street, they'll hit it, and maybe yank it all the way off our house.   My husband pulled the truck out there, flashers on, to keep people off that side of the street, while we wait for the EMC to get here and fix it. But I'm sure they're quite busy tonight, so it might be a while.

I've been inspecting the Fox Accuweather site, and it looks like the line of icing is just about at Mall of Georgia, just north of us here in Lawrenceville. But it had to be ice that brought that pine limb down on our house and the line.

It kills me that most people view the iStick 50W as a small device. Its circumference is all of 2mm less than the MVP3 (45x23 vs 46x23). With a 4400mah battery in it, it will not exactly be light. I always read that the IPV Mini is considered a larger device but its total area is pretty well the same as the iStick 50W. It seems that height is what determines if a device is large or small. I guess perception is everything. I had a Sig 100 for a bit and it was not the height that bothered me, it was the circumference of it that made it large. It was not comfortable to hold in your hand.

Does anybody know offhand, the dimensions for a box of marlboro 100s? Seems to me, for all the comments/complaints about size, that THAT should be the comparison as far as cubic goes. I know that the 20W is smaller than that, and that OAL (Base to tank tip it's shorter than a VV v3)

Yep! I bet u r right. Winter weather warning with heavy ice here and in bham where my folks are. Hope to God it isn't a repeat of 09' ice stroms!! That was almost as bad as #snowedNaltanta last year...well, maybe not. Last year was just insane! I've never seen anything like the interstates in metro ATL during and after that snow!

Not a great pic and I dont have the old Marlboro box to measure anymore but it gives you an idea....

Thanks for the comparison. That's what I thought. What tank is that? I've got a full size Nautilus on mine, and it hangs off the left side maybe 3mm or so. I'm thinking about making a new top plate as a project for my next CNC machining class, so I can re-locate (Just move it over a little, or try to center it? Hmmm...) the connector. I'm a little leery about disassembling a perfectly good 20W though

Tank is a Innokin Gladius.
Adjustable air and a dual bottom coil.
Stainless and Pyrex.

I like it a lot but it is small.

My Nautilus an Iclear30B hang over as well, but it does not bother me.

Honestly the Gladius is a perfect fit.

I know that a 100 style cigg. is 100mm long and a regular style is 80mm and I think Marlboro came out with the "Marlboro 72's" which were cheaper than normal because they were only 72mm. ... Junk knowledge I know but maybe it will help someone with size comparisons.

I have the VTR and an SVD. Like them both a lot. Going to cut that ring off the VTR though so it will fit my Kayfun. Would like to see a new mod in that configuration, without ring, higher watt and lighter. The size, shape and controls to me are perfect.
I agree. A 30-50watt VTR that would fit a Kayfun would sell really well. I stopped using my VTR once I decided that I only want to use Kayfuns.

When 100s came out in the 70s we switched. I swear the were the same diameter as Kings and cost a little more. Now they are skinnier.

Your memory is the same as mine...100's were 20mm longer and NOT skinnier. Seems like for a few years they were 50cents more per carton for the 100's....Then after a while they became the same price. Long time back huh...

My MVP3 came today. Love the look of it but I noticed a few small issues. First, the button seems hard to push still. Not a major issue, but it still requires more pressure than my istick 20w. Second, there was a blemish on the charging cable (attached cable) that looks like someone accidentally drew on it with a black pen. And third, the floating pim on the box has a mark that I have not been able to remove. image.jpgimage.jpg

With that said, these are minor issues and I'm still pleased with it.
