Hello, well I'm 19 so i'm a teenager myself, not sure what encouraged me into vaping but anyhow. On wednesday i took my 901 college and was using it outside, with it being cold aswell, the heat from my lungs & the vapor from my PV made quite a large amount of smoke.

I was standing with my friends smoking (they smoke cigs) and they all seem extremely interested, one guys words were..

''That's sick, it's like carrying around a portable shisha (hookah)''

I even shown them a picture 'The Copper' which i have being delivered and they didn't say ''What the hell, you'll look like a terrorist'' but instead ''Where is it?!?!'' in a real enthusiastic voice lol.

I find it interesting that even though it doesn't look like a cigarette, and you would look strange using it, a lot of people from my class found the product that interesting that asthetics didn't seem to off-put them. Even though for a lot of teenages, blending in and looking 'cool' is a major thing for them.

I'm hoping i can get a few people to convert, because at my age most of us don't really give a second thought to our health and keep on smoking. After reading a lot of dreadful storys on here about how close some of you came to the 'end', i get quite annoyed when i've tried to show some people and they just say 'Nah we all gotta die of something'. However i will keep on vaping at college and i'll let you know of any good turnouts or storys that occur from it.

Many thanks for reading,
Aaron.

i mostly work with teenagers and their response is typically "oh its like a hookah"..ofcourse i barely know what a hookah is..and they barely know what a vcr is.

 Or and a turntable, an 8 track, only two channels on the TV, no remote control, and on and on.

BUT -- whatever it takes to be young -- 19 in this case --- and to have something that is not a cigarette be cool enough to use instead of a cigarette -- now that's cool and something I wish had be around when I was 19, or 18, or - well, you get the point !!!

CONVERT THEM ALL - THEY'LL THANK YOU INDEED ONE DAY !

Thankyou for all the comments everyone. I've got one friend who's currently saving to buy his first PV, although i'm not sure if he will take the plunge, he kinda 'bums' cigarettes off people or steals his parents, so the cost might put him off.

I may speak to the college's Quit Smoking support staff, give a demonstration and description about these products, will have to prepare it first though. Not sure how it'll turn out but i'll keep you posted.

I work on a post with ALOT of Military types, which are know for smoking and drinking. Another gentelman got me into e-cigs because i was trying to quick smokeing. To help share our love of e-cigs we regularly set out on the smoke deck and "talk Shop" about the new flavors that we are trying. With all the interest that was shone i decided to help them out a bit with that first step. I ordered several of the "Disosable 510" packs from Madvapes.com. These run around 10 and i charge them 12 to cover the shipping. I have passed on almost 20 of these now and have several people waiting for the next order of "disposables" or there very own kits. Some people find it easier to try e-cigs this way cause its cheaper up front to try it out.

On a side not i am new to this forum and want to thank all the people here that are making a difference for the Newbs.

I also have a vast group of smoking friends between the ages of 18 and 30. They all look at ya funny at first but then curiosity gets the best of 'em. I would say that about 90% of them all want one immediately after vaping a good flavor the first time and roughly half of that have already converted. Whats even better is that they don't want to research homemade ejuice and there is no local supplier and buy everything in bulk. I just sell them 15ml bottles of whatever they want for ten dollars. Tends to work out pretty good.

Direct him to Mad Vapes, they sell a "Disposable" 510 for $10. It says disposable, but I have heard of some people getting quite a bit of life out of one. I am just about to order 6 to pass out to smoking friends who have showed interest. of course they only come with 2 filled carts, but its enough to get them to try it... maybe give them a small bottle of juice to keep em going if they like it. Just an idea... Peace

Great story, Aaron...it's great to hear, especially from one of you young "whipper-snappers" :D Hopefully there will be more and more young folks that won't have to go through the next 30+ years smoking those dreadful tobacco cigs!

And welcome to ECF Oggy! That's the great thing about those disposable 510s...so glad MadVapes has those and it doesn't cost much more than a couple of packs of cigs to try out vaping. Good for you having them on hand to pass out to the curious :thumb:
