Hi, mainly I use IE10. I just went to start a thread, and the enter button didn't work (to start a new line/new paragraph). I had to open up firefox and then it worked fine. Normally if IE detects compatibility issues, it will show the "compatibility mode" button in the URL box, however, it did NOT show the button. Seems to be the only problem. I Haven't posted anything in a while, and everything I have posted in the past WAS from IE10 and at that time I did NOT have this issues, so it must be relatively new.

Just thought you'd wanna know, check into it.

As different browsers handle things on the Interwebz differently, there's not much a site owner can do when a user runs into one of those "one off" things. As a user, there are things you can do to see if the issue is related to your machine, browser or website.

First, clear your cache and cookies. Does the issue persist?
Second, restart your machine. Seriously. Often times little bugs and quirks magically disappear with a machine restart.
Third, if you can consistently recreate the behavior on the site, then post about it and detail the steps taken to recreate the issue. That will give the Admins and devs a starting point on tracking the issue down.

ECF hasn't upgraded their vbulletin to accomodate IE10 - see my post in the 'this is bad' thread. The 'no return' only occurs in some reply windows - mainly the PM window but at times others as well. It's not your browser, it's vbulletin. I reverted to IE9 until they do the update but it's been a while. I thought my post would put them onto the problem but I guess it's going to take more people complaining

Thanks for posting :thumb:

BTW, in case you didn't know, reverting to IE9 is different for Win 8 than Win 7 (which is what I have). See the MS site for that......
