Hi everyone! I'd like to intodruce myself. I'm an 18 years old guy from Brazil, and I've recently started a plan on quitting cigarettes. I've had experiences with vaping before, and I'll tell you about that in just a little bit. Let's start talking about my smoking habits first.

I've lost my dad when I was 14 years old, and that was really, really tough to handle. I was depressed, and with depression I started to act like a rebel 14 years old kid would. Differently from many, I wasn't influenced by my friends to start smoking, I did it by myself. Good thing is, I've never been an avid smoker. When I was 14 until 16 I would only smoke in the weekends. When I turned 17, I was in last year of high school and would eventually go to parties, and I would smoke like a pack per weekend, not that bad considering people who use a pack per day.

I've recently entered college, and that made me smoke a lot more. Still not a pack a day or anything crazy, but at least 3~4 cigarretes a day and mostly kreteks (the stronger ones). I've decided that I don't want to do this anymore and I'm willing to switch from cigarettes to vaping.

My first experience with vaping was when I was 16 y/o. I find out about it through youtube videos, so I decided to buy myself the cheapest eGo kit I could find. Due to lack of knowledge about vaping, I've used that electronic cigarrete for about a month, vaping 12mg nicotine juice. After a month or so, my tank started leaking, the vapor would come with a disgusting burnt taste, and I didn't know anything about vaping so I just assumed it was broken and I threw it away, I didn't know I could simply replace the heater core. (Now I'm much more experienced, I understand about heater cores, coil, etc etc) and never had any contact with vaping anymore.

Recently, with my decision to switch to vaping, I've bought myself another "generic" (altough it looks way better than my first one) kit, which consists of an 900mah battery and a Ce5 clearomizer. I'm vaping an 18mg nicotine juice due to the recent change from cigarettes and everything is good so far. Unfortunately here in Brazil electronic cigarettes are not regulated and are not cheap, so even this cheap kit came out a little expensive compared to the U.S. prices.

I'm already thinking of stepping my game up, maybe in a couple months. As I've mentioned before, I do have certain knowledge about e-cigs and know the difference between certains models. Since I'm still a "beginner" and it's really hard to make custom mods here since we have no shops nor vendors, I'm planning on buying a robust starter kit, such as the Smok Micro One E (that's the one I'm aiming for it in a couple months).

Well, I think that was quite a long text but you guys get to know me better. Any tips or recomendations on upgrades will be appreciated. I don't like to say this but I'm sorry about any english mistakes, I've had classes for a long time but I know it's not 100% perfect.

Thank you guys, and vape on!

Lost my dad when I was 2. He is still alive as far as I know. I lost him in another way though. He left my mom and me. My dad was/is a jerk to say it politely. Then, my mom married another jerk when I was 4. This new jerk was insane & enjoyed beating mom and me physically, psychologically. He wound up raping mom a few times, which I did not learn of until after he had passed on. We the fatherless often find others to be fathers, or we become our own. I know this path from living it and so give you a friendly hug.

Good to see you're attending college. I was never able to fit into that particular mold myself. Life has taught me, maybe better, maybe worse but life teaches. Worry not about perfect English, you're doing quite well using it here. :) Think you're making a good choice with the Smok kit you are looking to get. I find Smok makes durable gear while retaining a fair low end cost for consumers. I am using a Smok kit at present.

A gray one of these is the mod & an RSST is the tank. I am using rayon as wick in the RSST. Not tried stainless steel mesh yet, many purist say it is the way to go. I like what I like. :) The coil is a 1.2 ohm with inner diameter of 2.5mm & I'm running it at 6 Watts. I'm taking direct lung hits off of it & chucking some fair clouds, getting very nice flavor too. It is a nice set up for me. I also use a bunch of evod style tanks, ARO, T-Dux 3. I have a T-dux 4 also. I find cheap deals for durable stuff. Looking toward a squonking kit, a Reo clone & Velocity style clone.

Stay in school. It is a good in life some of us regret not having had, or not having been suited to have.

Hi and welcome! Losing a parent is a very tough event to go through. But congrats on attending college and now committing to getting off cigs. I wish I had done that at your age instead of waiting 30 years.

Given that you're still not smoking much, and not for very long, you might do well with a lower nic concentration than 18 mg. Next time you need (or find based on what you're saying about Brazil) see if you can get something lower. My bet is it will be just as satisfying. Good luck!
