I get SR which are 2.8 to 3.1 Ohm... i run them at 3.5 to 3.9v the first few days, then i go up to about 3.8 to 4.4, and i get at least a week. Some i just don't like the taste like anyother atty after using without cleaning though and just put them aside.
I figure i used to smoke a pack a day so no loss in $$.
I've been trying a lot of different attys and tanks lately so they last longer of course. I really vape all day/night long.
The first ones I bought from VK was 1.7 the first couple lasted for a good week or two but then the last 3 lasted only one day. So I figured since I now had something that was vv I could get higher resistance.. so the last 10 I bought are 2.9. this first pack of them, they've all died within a day or two.. vaping great one minute, then I go to pick it up and nothing.. checked with multimeter and dead. I've always used 510's and when I tried the 901 I was blown away by the pure flavor and great vapor.

Now I'm sad and frustrated because I can't afford to spend that kind of money.. one atty a day! How long do yours last? I think I remember you said about a week... I could live with one a week. I also use cartos but they're not as satisfying and they don't last either.. to get a carto to last longer than a couple days (flavorwise) I have to use unflavored mix or a mix with just a touch of flavor. That is fine when I can use a 901 and get that great full flavor of some of the more heavily flavored juices.

I guess I'll open the other pack and see how they do.

I agree they are good for full flavor juices, the 901 is designed for lots of flavor with some TH and good vapor. (501 and 306 have more TH, and 801 has less TH and airy draw imo). 801 has lots of flavor, and i think the 901 was designed right in the middle of those ranges.
They really shouldn't be any different in lasting than any other atty though...

How do you get the magnets glued in? Mine have come off and while it's not a big deal (I ususally just keep a rubberband around the mod).. I bought some gorilla glue and tried to glue them back.. the little buggers want to stick to everything except what I want them to stick to! I ended up with glue all over my fingers and the magnets, well they weren't where I wanted them LOL.

i sand the post first before i use gorilla glue, i put a dab on the post and carefully set the magnet on the post holding with my finger for a couple seconds then let it dry. try cleaning the old glue off and doing that...should help.

J, are you still taking orders for V2 or are you waiting to get V3 out?

i've stopped taking orders on v2 and trying very hard to get the metal version finished but havent had much time in the last few weeks. i had the cad model done but emachine shop was giving me trouble for the design not having radius' and other nitpicky things so im having to rethink my design. when i figure it out y'all will be the first to know, i promise you that. my goal is to make something that im totally stoked about.

yea, this last one I got out last night just doesn't have a good flavor like the others.. it had a burnt taste from the very beginning even though I've kept it wet enough. It'll probably last forever since it's not very good LOL

I wasn't a heavy smoker.. could make a pack last 2-3 days, so vaping is definately more expensive when my attys die so quick :(

Eagerly awaiting for whatever you decide on doing for the metal version. All I know is that it's going to be an awesome mod when it comes out. Hoping to be one of the first ones in line when the time comes. Probably not but, here's for wishful thinking LOL

hey guys, since the metal version might have to be put on hold, im looking into a resin mold...not sure what type of materials but something cool like kevlar would be awesome. havent started much investigation on that since i was concentrating so hard on metal. anyway...i may start up orders again for the plastic version in a bit, but i may be getting a little help and orders may be going through a different process. just wanted to thank you guys again for all the support and great comments.

How's it going with the 901's Donnah?
I hear something like that (attys going down fast) can be from certain ingredients in juices...

That would nice too. It's great that your going to start orders again. Momentarily stopped promoting the mod when I heard you stopped taking orders. Looking forward to what you got in store for the future.

I hear something like that (attys going down fast) can be from certain ingredients in juices...

I've put them aside for the last couple days. I had opened a new one and it didn't taste good at all.. vaped it for a day and set it aside, disheartened. I've been experimenting with unflavored juice the last couple weeks. With tv juice, I can only get one good day out of a carto before it starts tasting too "off" AND that was what I had been using with the 901 attys that were dying. This carto I'm using now will be 2 weeks old this saturday and it's still going and tasting great with unflavored. I'm beginning to suspect my juice was causing a lot of problems. so for right now, I'm just using diy unflavored and maybe adding a drop or two of vanilla to it every now and then.

You've got me thinking... maybe it's the juice I was using. I have been using heavily flavored and sweetened Tasty Vapor juices and my cartos nor my attys were lasting. Tomorrow I'm going to open a new 901 and just use my diy.. unflavored and very lightly flavored juices in it to see if this helps.

I've been amazed at how good plain ole unflavored juice is.. has a clean, fresh flavor and it's sweet on it's on. I've mixed 75@PG and 24%VG at 12mg.

I've heard some other people say that they have not had good luck with TV juices in their cartos. I'm starting to believe them now.

Thanks for checking up on me. I'll report back when I get some more data. As Jmarkus can attest.. when I get a problem I start taking it apart, testing this and that and start the process of elimination until I get to the root of the problem. I have friends who bring me their old, non working computers because I enjoy finding the problem and fixing it. LOL Back when I was having problems with my protected batts I tried many different things (took me weeks!)and finally tracked down the problem and it hasn't been an issue since. wait.. I can't take credit for it..out of the blue I saw a post where someone had the same problem and figured it out.

good to hear... VK SR DSE 901 is one of my top 3 attys (901- Iken306 - joye SR 510)
A sort of mentor; go-to guy for advice here was making DIY and changed up on some ingredients he was using for a long time and now his attys are lasting at least double the time.
I don't know what the ingredient was ... maybe i should ask him... jimho?

I've been trying to come up with a way to build a nice bottom feeding rebuildable atty. just finished this one and it seems to be working pretty darn well. 1.7 ohm at 3.7v's. tons of vapor and flavor...

Lor-ann's Tart and Sour = atty killer... it's a flavoring... so may not help us if we don't use that type of flavor, but at any rate it could be something in the juice. I'd hate to go to unflavored... won't do it but so far my snickerdoodle etc holds up pretty good.
I have at least 50 used attys that i'm hoping to find an easy way to clean just to see if they are salvageable.

I wanted the rebuildable to be as repairable as possible so i added a ce2 ceramic cup to stop any potential shorts on the center positive post/feeding tube/air flow, added terminal posts that plug into ss needle slots (posts, cup, wick, and wire all replaceable by user), ss posts are soldered in with lead free solder. i also tried filling the chamber with e-juice (about 1 ml, just under the ceramic cup) and everything seems to work pretty darn great, no leaks. so you can bottom feed, drip and fill the chamber with at least 1 ml, maybe more...havent measured. loving it so far.
