I was going to wait on these AGA-T+, but I couldn't help it. I probably missed it, but when did you say you were getting the porous ceramic wicks in? Or did you say you were getting them in? I forget.

They will probably be here late this coming week or early the one after. Not exactly sure.
They are local in USA not China.

Focus on my camera is too poor, but I measured it.
There is 2mm between the edge of the bottom positive post nut and the edge of the wick hole.
There is 1mm between the edge of the negative post screw and the edge of the wick hole.
Hope that helps.
What's the distances on the original?

Thanks,it's kinda hard to tell from the pics.
Take another look at the photos. On the old style, The layout of the wick hole to the negative post to the positive post forms about a 95º angle. On the AGA-T+ I'm looking at they form about a 65º angle.

Also look at the distance between the edge of the base plate and the wick hole on both:

Thanks,it's kinda hard to tell from the pics.I've got 2 coming tomorrow and was just curious.I don't have the original.
The new one does look a little closer from wick hole to center post(where it matters).

it is, it's very close, the gap between the screw and the post is almost non existent but enough.

The glass tube that I got with the AGA-T+ doesn't fit in the AGA-T+. Did anyone else have this issue? It's no big deal for me since I like to get colored glass tubes for my AGA-Ts, but just wondering if this happened to anyone else. The glass tube seems to be just slightly wider than the regular tube.

I had to gently spin mine back and forth to get in seated straight, but had no issues with it fitting the sleeve.

Mine seemed to fit fine, but you would think that they used a hacksaw to cut them - jagged and chipped. The chipping doesn't show when it is recessed into the top and bottom cap, but I'm sure the o-rings will suffer. Off to IBTanked for some good old American made glass tanks!

Got my T+ today, thank you. I have 1 question, does the white sleeve/grommet in the parts bag need to be inserted into the top plate to insulate the center post/screw,or is it an extra one? I'm guessing it needs to be inserted as without it the center screw floats around a bit even though there's a small white washer on the underside of the top plate which isn't enough to hold the center screw steady..Thanks again.

Got mine today. Superb built. I agree with dsy5, the glass tubes are a bit rough on the edges. I just tried wet sanding by hand on a flat surface using 400 wet sanding paper. Slow but seems to be working. I'll get them to IBTanked quality or die trying. If I lived in the US I would get a replacement from them but the S&H costs are prohibitive for a single glass tube. Back to sanding I go...
