I don't know about the beard = no beaver theory... I also think Wench has got a good point.
Alex always insists that he's a real hit with the ladies.... although when I visited him a month ago, I didn't see many ladies around.... he did have some goats though!

Guys who are waiting for the pre production run models for testing/review, I'm really sorry for the wait.
The very first devices have been ready for quite a while now, but we have been waiting for the engraving to be done which has now taken almost two weeks as the company have been really busy.
I was told they would be finished today, but now it seems more likely tomorrow or friday.... unfortunately the delays are most likely due to a last minute Christmas rush which is understandable but frustrating all the same.
Anyway, due to Christmas fast approaching, it's looking like the next full production batch will not be ready until January at this rate which is a real pity, but can't be helped unfortunately.
I will continue to keep you updated here with further news/video/picture updates and hopefully the first reviews from some of the testers when they come in......

I'm hoping the testers/reviewers should have their devices before Christmas and then the first main batch of Makos will be ready in the first week of January or thereabouts.... all going well.

Is the mako going to be up for sale for christmas, it would make a great present...
I'm going to polish these up this weekend True as the initial pre-production batch are not anodised so there are a few machine marks/scratches on them, then should be able to ship them out monday....
When we go into full production in January, all the Mako's will have an anodised finish in either black or clear.
The 5 volt option will not be available til the New Year, but Alex has persuaded me to post a video over the weekend illustrating the Maksi @ 5V for those interested.
