David, did you see my email about my strata order #17361?
Not having any experience with the Strata yet, I can only use my imagination. I believe the Strata will perform great with normal low resistance coils in the 1-1.5 ohm range. The 360 degree airflow means you can have a single coil and expect excellent performance.
One of the downsides of the Aqua is that it's not made for single coils, although it is still doable, having two direct airflow paths would hinder performance with a single coil. I could be wrong about that assumption though. I setup the Aqua with .9 ohm dual micro coils, and it's performing really, really well. I don't even want to go lower than that. I plan on staying in that same range on the Strata with either single or dual coils, as I run 18350 batteries almost exclusively.
Fear not my friend, as the Strata will cater to vapers of many kinds!![]()
There is a set of two air holes on either side of the atty. There is an air hole directly underneath each coil. The air path comes in from the side, and shoots up directly under the each coil. The tank section itself serves as the air flow control. Twist the tank section to open or close the air control. The afc works well, but if you only have one coil, extra air will come into the evaporation chamber that you don't really want.
In addition, there are 4 juice channels to feed the wicks. If you setup a single coil you will need 4 wick "legs" to fill each of the juice channels. A single coil can be accomplished, but is not inherent to the design.
The aqua is also very sensitive to flooding. If for any reason the evap. chamber becomes flooded, juice will run right down those air paths, causing a gurgly draw.
...
I dont really do those types of "extreme" set ups, how does that Strata perform with a simple , single coil at about 1.0 ?
Guess what I mean is that most atties will put out tons of vapor etc when built like that extreme.
For whimpy vapers like me I just want to make sure it will be simple and not too complicated and get an impressive difference in performance.

Thanks, looks nice. A decent amount of thought went into that.
Though luckily, I don't think I'll be atomizer chasing no mo'.
I just wanted to clarify, I tend to think , maybe over think things. I wanted to make sure that no one takes my pondering as trying to "question" the Strata's .... cant come up with the word, but I think you get where Im going.
Im just a bit scared of new things because of my limitations physical and emotional.
From the photos Ive seen of strata the design and engineering scream out "different", quality and precision design to produce the maximum out of it.
This aint your average atty, is what anyone who looks at it would say or think.
I want one, but Im scared........![]()
