Let me get this right. You are offering $425 American dollars for an ELA?
ELA current Kelly Blue Book of mod values...................With the rarity factor + wait times.....$599.00
Encouraging flipping in the manufacturers own forum. it doesn't get much more disrespectful than that
Only that he low balled the price......8-o

Look, I know that if I were to post and say willing to spend $250 I wouldn't get a blink, possibly a LOL. However, if you guys think I should remove it I will. I wasn't trying to disrespect David or anybody, I just know what's realistic and what's not.

I think that we all know where you're coming from, but as others have already said, this isn't the right place for your post. Just put up a WTB add in the classies since that's what it's there for. Quite a few people have had success scoring ELAs there.

I was happy to see my account was charged. Now I feel better and the wait will kill me. In the meantime I am not using my P+ because of the stupid 510-510 ext that keeps causing shorts.
I will be ordering my kanthal 28g. If anyone would point me to a coil build with cotton I would appreciate it.
I am running the 18350 and would like to be close to 1ohm. I think I can use my electrical volt meter to check them.
Feel free to PM me with suggestions.
Thanks.

There aren't many coil builds out there yet, as only the beta testers have gotten their grimy little paws on the Strata :)

Check back here in the coming weeks for updates. I imagine there will be a lot of activity in this thread regarding different ways to setup the Strata!

Cheers and congrats!

How long was it before they charged your account from when you placed the order?

I placed my order yesterday and my card was charged this morning so I guess I'm starting the 2 week clock now. It's going to be a long 2 weeks for me. I just hope the ribbed strata with the simplicity will look better in person than the pictures I've seen because the polished looks nice too. I may just need to buy a polished one later down the road and swap the top caps to give me a polished base and a ribbed top cap. That would look sick too.

On another note, quick question about Strata. This will be my first dripper I actually own and set up and since there is a drip well do I place the wicks into the well to grab all the juice at the bottom it would make sense to me but I can be missing something? I plan to use a single micro coil and cotton set up.

Your conventional coil builds will most likely be thrown out the window. We're talking innovation here. Stay tuned and the rest of us beta testers will be funneling information about the Strata.

I think it would be safe to say that us first time builders could order our supplies and have them ready?
Kanthal
Cotton
Right?

Don't wanna have a Strata and no material to build it.

Help a brother out. :D

The pics I have seen and the info read, It seems like I would set it up like I do my Origen.

Doubtful this build would work. The coils will end up being oriented horizontally, possibly diagonally. Or, rather....all the way around the interior of the atty! :)

Nach, vertical coils would still work:

There are definitely better ways to attach the wick so that it feeds the coils better though. But I do agree with you in that vertical coils won't offer any sort of advantage over horizontal coils. With the way the Strata's posts are designed, horizontal coils seem more intuitive. The adventurous ones amongst us will definitely go beyond the obvious horizontal coils. I really can't wait until we can start posting more pics!
