Couple of coil builds we've been experimenting with. I'm having great results with this top one, I call it the "Snork", since it was his brainchild. Single coil, 1.08ohm, 3mm silica, Ribbon Kanthal .8 x .1.

Cool....David posted one of my vertical dual coil builds!!! That's one less pic I'll have to upload in the future :)

do I need to buy wire and wick to get started building the Strata? Will you be selling it or do I need to look elsewhere?

Wick: www.viper-vape.com

Res wire and ribbon: www.temcoindustrial.com

'Course if you dig microcoils, you won't need silica wick. You can use organic cotton balls from the corner drug store.

Tentatively pending final judgment from the guinea pigs, I suggest starting with 34 gauge kanthal a-1 and 3.5mm silica wick. That's a pretty non-exotic combo that has yielded more than satisfactory results on most atomizers I've ever used.

With 2-wraps-over-3 of 34 gauge kanthal around 3 - 3.5mm silica you'll end up with around 1.8 ohms per coil. With a dual coil setup, that's about 0.9 ohms. Now you don't need a meter for your coils. :)

Hmmm a lot to learn...... What is up with the ribbon Kanthal, Is it better? What is the best wick material? I run my mods Kicked so how about a setup for a 2.4-3.0 ohm RBA.....

When is the silence lifted for the testers? I'm dieing to hear more.

When we are done testing. When that will be is totally up to the master creator himself..

We have only had them for 4 days so far.. Rest assured it's getting ran through its paces and pushed to the hilt! I alone have been through 24 different wick, wire and ohm combos so far..
