Yipeeee! Just got a package with a shiny (actually ribbed) Simplicity 350 and a ribbed Strata! Ordered on Jan 27, #18294. Put that in your pipe and vape it.

If it makes you feel any better, it was actually delivered to my Mom in the States. She just showed it to me on Skype. Now she has to FedEx it to me, so I won't have my grimy hands on it until next week. They are coming guys/gals.

No more mere mortal-dom por moi!
That's great!

Show us more builds, and pics, and videos! We want more, we want more! ;)

I'm done for a bit. I'm just going to vape.
It really is very simple. You can probably do whatever you'd like to do with success. Coil *positioning* seems to be a crucial thing, but the airflow takes care of the rest.

She emailed me back today too saying my simplicity and strata should ship next week.

Very nice, a bit off the original 2 week mark :).
I am looking forward to them very much and as mentioned, a bit more so than the ELA. With the Ti, I now can be complacent and wait patiently for the ELA.

Been using the same 1.5 ohm coil on the Simplicity 18500 for the past few days. On day 2, I took the silica out and replaced it with some cotton. I definitely prefer that, I think.

Tonight, I got home and decided to try a similar coil out on my 18350 ti + kiklet, with the kick 2 running at 13 watts. Definitely a more intense vape, and the kiklet on a 350 doesn't make it all that much longer than my 18500 simplicity.

Is anyone else a bit gutted that you may have to use plugs to get a decent vape on the strata? I just cannot see myself wanting to stick plugs into a premium device like this to get the best out of it.

I am really hoping there is another means - I was going to setup dual coils anyway so hopefully it will not be needed but by the sounds of it they still may.

Was this the intention all along? or was this just an afterthought? Were the beta testers using plugs as well on their builds?

As I said before, on my single simple coil the use of one plug opposite my coil *may* make a diff, but like today I have vaped plugless all day and been amazed at how well it is performing. It's seriously good.
The plugs are an option, not a requirement. In some circumstances they may make a difference but right now the setup I'm using would certainly be one you'd think plugs would help. Not so.

To address the question about dry hits.
I find it difficult to get one. I experience a Spheroid-like drop in flavor and performance well before a dry hit occurs. Then I drip 6 or 7 drops and it vape good for long long time.

It *is* a dripper, no doubt. I have flooded it. It is possible to drench it to the point it seeps (not leaks) juice, with my x-ray vision I can see my coil basically submerged in juice. Don't want to do that, duh.

Thanks for the input. I love tinkering to get a good vape and i am happy to play around with builds and setups. I however think the use of rubber plugs in a device like this to be a bit of a joke (just my opinion, please no one flame me). As long as i can get a decent vape without having to use them i will be happy. Just came as a bit of a shock is all and i could not imagine David sitting around at the time of development thinking... yep we are going to use rubber plugs. So this leads me to think this was an after thought to fix a problem.
