I have to try the ekowool in the strata. How much ekowool are you using in the juice well?
The total length of the ekowool is about 2". The outside diameter of the 2mm (inside diameter) ekowool makes it a little more challenging than 1mm ekowool to feed into the well, but all is good. There is still a lot of empty space in the well. Seems to be wicking the 80%VG juice very well.

I drop about 1" of ekowool into the well from both sides of both coils. It vapes great until the ekowool is almost totally dry. Superb flavor, and I don't have to re-wick every few days, as I do with cotton.

I am definitely going to try the ekowool today. I like it it my spheroid. I just took out the ophion coil and built dual micro coils with cotton. I like the fact of not having to change the cotton every 1 to 2 days. I also am thinking of trying the german silica in the strata.

I absolutely reccomend you try everything you can, as ymmv. Not a lot else wicks like ekowool for me, though bamboo is close. Ekowool lasts Far Far longer than anything else excepting Xc-116, which lasts really well too. I prefer the throat hit of Ekowool better than anything I've tried.

I ordered 2 strata for my p+ and one of them I just got back from the machine shop I sent it to for customizing the air holes.

I had them drill holes up in side so for one I can keep the top totally down, and 2 for better air-flow. It works excellent. And with the enclosed air cutoff pieces I got I can customize the air flow to my wildest dreams...blowing clouds now..

Considering they went in at an angle. And it didn't cost me a dime. I'm very happy with it, and I think it's a great job. It's the best Rba I have for my P+ now.

The pic looks much worse than what it actually looks like..
And for the record, I did this for me. Which was before I heard any type of banter going on about the hole location.

And as it is in the vaping world, I thought maybe some would like to see the customization of the strata.

Thanks for the positive critisism nach.
;)

That picture looks familiar from some where.

Have you noticed any difference in performance versus the unmodified cap?
