Ya i really like the IPV2 owners threads, besides a few mishaps its been a great thread for our little club. I've been looking at buying the stillare, how is it, is the airflow good? That's more for vapor production than flavor right? I want to buy one that has enough airflow to handle higher wattage, just to try it out.

I just got a magma for flavor, thinking about getting one designed for clouds, do some experimenting with different resistances and wattages on the ipv 2.

By the way, my black one just got here from elev8. At least if I do drop one off a chair and it breaks, I'll have a backup.

Edit: Not sure if its a firmware change, but my black one starts at 50 watts and says check atomizer when nothings attached, silver one starts at 15 and makes a clicking noise when fired with nothing attached

I like the Stillare, great airflow control, but it does not have a deep juice well and leaks as I overfill it mostly :(

I tried a Plume Veil and a Vulcan. The Vulcan has a deep juice well and good airflow and the Plume Veil was great airflow and deeper well. I am gonna pick up a Vulcan clone from origin vapes and a plume veil as well.

My 50 starts at 15 watts when reset. I do hear a slight click after I fire, like a short delay between fire button and chip sending the current, it does not hamper performance thankfully.

Picked one up today from my local Artisan Vapor Company!
Now I gotta rebuild 6 attys to a resistance I can run on it

I have a dual .92 build with 26 ga and it works great at 50, but I like 40 myself for a cooler vape. It is a bit better vapor on a higher sub than a really low sub. YMMV

I picked mine up from my local artisan shop last Sat. Love it, love it, love it.

Welcome to our club ;)

Any real advantage with 26 gauge over 28? Should be a little more durable with better longevity and easier to work but anything else.

^ hehe question's not directed to me buuuut there are 2 reasons why I find thicker gauges are "better"

1) for 2 builds with the same resistance and same power supplied, the lower gauge wire will give you a cooler vape. (More mass of wire to heat up given same amount of power supplied)

2) assuming you're very .... about builds like I am and always strive for a specific target resistance, lower gauge wires lets use you more wraps = higher surface area (also contributed by the wider diameter) = more vapor production and flavor

If you're looking for a deep juice well, get the Magma.

Getting 26 gauge was the best thing I've ever done. Like he said, much cooler vape, more surface area than a coil of 28 that is the same resistance. The coil itself doesn't get as hot as a coil built at the same resistance with 28, so you can up the wattage as well without just burning wicks and having overly hot vape. I haven't built a coil in any of my drippers with 28 since I got 26, still use it for my fogger, but that's it.

IMO, you can't fully utilize the power these devices can put out with 28 gauge.

I actually ordered some 24 to try it out, should be here Wednesday.

Edit: This dual coil comes out to .72 with 26 gauge

My issue Is difficulty in building higher ohm builds. I just did a 14 wrap 24g single nano that barely metered to .32 I see 24 and 26g 7 wrap micro duals that meter to that dual..
Ya you'll definitely have to adjust your building style. I saw that Clapton coil you built btw, that was pretty impressive. I'd say stick to 26 for now, until you get used to the idea that higher ohms is better with these devices. I've been able to get the best vape staying around .7 dual 26 ga(see pic above), or 1 and above single, might want to try that

Yeah i have read that numerous times but after testing with more wraps with lower gauge and testing with fewer wraps and higher gauge i am not noticing much if any real differences in my vape, at least with flavor.

It may supposed to be that way but i never noticed it , others may have.

Gonna pick one of those up too, thanx. I see 3 new RDA's in my near future ;)

Do not get the tobeco magma clone. Mine had the air inlets improperly drilled, AFC ring doesn't fit, the base spins. I could barely breathe through it when I first got it. I filed them out but its still restricted some. Stick with the Infinite(Infinity?) clone

Roger that Abrb, I will make sure it's an Infinity clone. Thanx

Sorry that yours isn't made well. I got a cheap Turtleship V2 clone that has had SO many issues. This is why I got my IPV, but I do want one nice authentic mech. Gonna get a Flagship in a the next few months. Tried it at my B&M and loved it.
