The sx330 is only capable of stepping down the voltage to 3.5 V. (Or is it 3.6. I can't remember)

The specs for the SX330 V2 50W don't show a buck feature to step down power. Voltage output for regulated power is 3.6–8.5 volts. YiHi does indicate this capability for their SX350 chip.

Orly? I automatically assumed that if they explicitly state a operating range below 4, then it'll mean there's some degree of step down, no? Kinda like how evolv explicitly states their chips can only operate at a min voltage of 4V.

Hmm..

ETA: I don't think YiHi necessarily put in the most effort for the specs page. The one for the sx330 doesn't even state that it has a boost circuitry, so.... Yeah. That alone doesn't rule out the lack of voltage step down.

And more important, if the states operating range is from 3.5V and up, how exactly will it achieve 3.5 V without buck circuitry then?

It's not as simple as 35W vs 50W. The units also have a difference in functionality. The 50W version has an additional fire soft touch button, whereas the 30W doesn't. For me, that alone is worth the upgrade.

Yeah the touch feature would be a complete non issue for me and it is certainly not worth an extra 30.00+ bucks , even the SX 350 chip from what i have read has a normal push button fire .

If the touch feature is worth an extra $30.00 to you and 35 watt is just too weak for a satisfactory vape knock yourself out. Even though i obtained a Cana mod i still seem to prefer keeping the wattage much much lower than 30 watts , to me 50 is a total waste .

My seven 30 is the best TUBE REGULATED DEVICE, I did have a dna30,gave it to my wife...
The seven 30 is a beast, technology wise Is better than the dna30..
Btw cloupor has a 50 watts coming out, really cool design..
What I'm really waiting right now Is the next version of the SEVEN 30, WITH THE SAME OR SIMILLAR DESIGN maybe a dual 26650 billet box or a single 26650 with 50 watts of power..
Sigelei is coming out with a 100watts box mod by September,
I think 100 watts is TOO much..20-50 watts is reasonable
Be safe out there guys,
Always remember..THE REASONS WHY YOU VAPE..

What is the primary benefit running these mods with 40+ watts and such? I have an MVP 2 and a Protank 2 clearo with cotton wicks and the thing hits like a train. I know you cats have a good reason to use 40+ watts, but im vaping at 9 watts and the performance is outstanding.

What clearos are you guys using? You guys just drip or what? Im just a curious noob..

I have a MVP2 and I when I use a 2 coil RBA it's useless, barely any vapor or flavor. Just not enough power.

Interesting. I use my MVP2 at 7W with a Kanger Mega BDC of 2 Ohm and that all I need to get the best flavor and throat hit for myself. And my batteries last forever. I have various drippers and tried subohming down to 0.3 on a mech and I simply couldn't see what the big deal is. Yes, I can get a lot more vapor that way, but the taste is not nearly as satisfying for me. The vapor is too warm for my taste and I actually prefer less vapor, particularly when I'm out and about. The Mega tank plus the dual coils are absolutely wonderful and cannot recommend them enough. I guess it is a very personal matter whether or not you want/need high wattage.

What I really dislike in most threads is the attitude that some people have. It's all about bragging with wattage levels and gear and cloud chasing. These people are really doing a disservice to the vaping community by generating the impression that if you don't vape a dripper with 0.1 Ohm quad diamond coil on dual 28650 mech mods, you are doing it wrong. That is so silly and should stop.

Yeah...I guess we need to go through and figure out what the actual differences are in the sx330 to 350...starts to seem like user upgrades is the only difference.

User upgrades is the main thing. The SX350 will fire down to 0.2 ohms instead of 0.3. Will fire up to 9.5 volts instead of 8.8. Also it regulates down to 1.0 volts. Theres a lot of small changes in them.

Imo it's more about having the latest and greatest over what is needed to get the job done , you wait until 100 watt box mods are released you will see the same group saying they got to have that lol.

I also think it's more popular with the much younger generation , you know how it is when your young , there is no place for logic , when your older you have a tendency to think more logically.

Most younger people i know like to find out and experience mistakes for themselves even when they are warned beforehand by people who know better because they made the same mistake , yeah try to figure that one out lol .

MVP is not for dripping , if i wrap 32 gauge dual coil on a Nimbus clone from Fasttech the MVP works great but wrap with 28 gauge and it just doesn't work.

MVP works great for people who like Pro Tanks, Iclears, Cartos, etc... and even Kayfun's , nobody who's plan is to drip buys an MVP.

Some know that very well and just live with it , thats how it is these days , people try to brag and impress and they have every right to do that if they want .

I would of never believed people would actually want to follow other people but apparently they do , i don't do facebook or Twitter but others do , i also do not care much about how my ecig looks to other people , as long as it works well is all that matters to me , i don't get the bling craze but others live by it .

Were all different , let them have fun.
