About to pre order a silver box from elev8, and even though the site says it does come with the warranty can anyone confirm that it does? I've read that some vendors were told to raise their prices or else the warranty would be voided, which is why most vendors sell them for 90+. Also does anyone know how many units will be coming in their batches?

I'd be more concerned about some of the sub-ohmers who go really high amps without protection. These regulated high power mods are a step in the right direction, at least.
What do you mean? 4volts DC isn't going to cause static, especially with pulse functions of vaping.. if you don't clean your mod, that could cause static and arcing, which you may feel, but it's not the same as static from a 13+kV line.

If you order from any "dealers" (vapecompany, elev8, etc... not sure about these ebay folks) there IS a one year warranty. Not sure what it all covers... prob just the basics.
I will get mine in USPS monday and read paperwork (if any... and hopefully in english).
Not sure of the 7/18 arrival batch numbers but it must be significant given the number of folks talking about it.
I have seen them at low at 79 (with a 30 "coupon" but then you pay shipping). I got mine for 105 but free 2 day shipping.

I'm talking about battery safety, not static and arcing. I'm sure most mech users take safety seriously, but there are some who jump right into mechs and sub-ohms without knowing much about the basics of battery safety.

Pioneer4you products are covered by a one year limited warranty that assures the original owner against manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials. This warranty is active from the date of purchase by the initial purchaser with original receipt for a total period of one year. If this product shall ever fail, due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair the product, without charge, the product will be replaced if the device cannot be repaired.

"Not covered in the warranty: This warranty does not cover the atomizer, batteries, charger, tips or any other accessories, only the device are covered by the warranty. The warranty does not cover improper or unreasonable use, including but not limited to: failure to follow operating instructions; water damage, unauthorized modification or customization of original device, loss of or damage to the device or its internal components. Damage from stripping of the threads is not covered, and damage to the finish is not covered in the warranty.

After the expiration of the one year warranty, the cost of repairs will depend on the extent of damage to the device. To process warranty claims we will need a copy of the original receipt with the purchase date and the device to be shipped together.

The cost of shipping the device to our warranty center is at the expense of the customer. It is recommended to use a shipping service such as Priority Mail or UPS that includes a tracking number to ensure the package does not get lost."

Interesting. If the chip actually steps down voltage to a high 2ish to a low 3ish volts, then I'm getting a .... load (for me personally) more than I paid for. :O

Anyone with a inline voltmeter to actually test the voltage output? There are quite a few ways the chip could be programmed to display:

1) ideal case: when fired, the display shows the actual voltage and wattage supplied. In this case, then based on the video, the chip does indeed step down all the way to a low 2ish volts.

2) similar to many of the china mods like the MVP, given a specified settings, if the actual usage is beyond the limits of the chip (whether it's amp or wattage limit), the display shows the user-specified settings, but is only outputting the maximum output of the chip's limit.

I guess if someone has their IPV and a inline voltmeter now, you can easily build a random subohm coil, and try firing at a lower wattage. Eg a 0.6 ohm build, change setting to 15 watts and see compare what the display shows and what the inline voltmeter shows.

If the IPV shows 15W, and both IPV and voltmeter shows 3V, then well, the official chip specs are wrong and we have a winner.

The sx330 is a manufacturer's board and the sx350 is a modder's board.

So you're saying that if I contact a Chinese company called YiHi and say I'm an individual but I want 100 sx330 boards who to I send the money to they'll say no because it's a manufacturer's board?

Titles like that only hold true to major corporations and proprietary hardware. Little Chinese company won't care, they'll be happy to take your money.

No that not what I meant, I'm sure you could buy just one and make a mod with it. In my opinion the 330 board was designed for a company to buy and mass produce a device, (like the Ipv) as it seems to have no solder point for re-positioning the fire, up, down and usb. It's pretty much made to have those buttons and usb in the current position as the Ipv has them in. Here's some pics.

You can see the buttons, screen and usb all line up as they do on the device. So the Ipv uses the on-board buttons and the usb is also attached to the board.

But with the sx350 board as well as the DNA board, (which I consider modder's boards) you can position those features any were you like.
