Well I just got it . It is definitely gray.Gunmetal I guess would be the proper description. Not black in anyway. I tried taking the screws off with furnished screwdriver. But they wouldn't budge and I didn't want to strip the heads. When I get home I will use a proper screwdriver.

Well, my worry really is that some of the practices may not be healthy.

You definitely have a good point if you are referring to vaping at high wattage vs vaping at lower wattages since there is quite a bit of information out there already that vaping at high temps is suspected to cause considerably more health concerns .

If you look around the forum you can read that info for yourself , it scared me since it was posted by people who would know about it and not just joe schmo.

I'd be more concerned about some of the sub-ohmers who go really high amps without protection. These regulated high power mods are a step in the right direction, at least.

I don't think he meant that kind of safety issue but your right of course you got to be more careful with higher power devices.

About to pre order a silver box from elev8, and even though the site says it does come with the warranty can anyone confirm that it does? I've read that some vendors were told to raise their prices or else the warranty would be voided, which is why most vendors sell them for 90+. Also does anyone know how many units will be coming in their batches?

I read that and it's bogus , i looked into it and you get the warranty even if you get it for a lower price from an authorized vendor , they are just trying to jack you .

Well lets hear about it , initial impressions , thinner, lighter C, MON whats taking so long LOL

I can't imagine anything as bullet proof as the Clouper , i love it but i wouldn't mind you confirming that the Cloupor is indeed much more rugged than the IPV , if it isn't just lie and tell me it is.

Thanks pal

The clouper is more rugged. The ipv has a much thinner case . and sounds hollow when clicking the clicky buttons

Ok got home and took the screws out with proper size precision screwdriver. Press firmly and unscrew on level surface. DO NOT USE THE DRIVER PROVIDED! I inspected the female threads and found some sort of glue or thread sealant. Took the screws out a couple of times. Now they are proper. Otherwise works as it should. The screws are tiny, like post screws on an rda. I don't like the usb on the bottom. the finish grainy not smooth. It feels like it looks in pics. Buttons are clicky. People will not be disappointed. I ended up liking the touch pad button.
