I seen it!!!!...........wait no nope no I didn't
Ya ive been having the exact same issue occasionally but I figured it was me, because when I put a protank on it the ohms reading stays steady, but with rebuildables mine can fluctuate .2 ohms. I was actually thinking earlier today how nice it would be if you could set voltage also because mine is jumping around from 1.2 to 1.4, sometimes even 1.5.Has anyone had the issue with irratic ohm readings causing spikes in voltage when you fire? Like with a .6 coil it will fire at .5 or .6, then next button press it reads something crazy high and fires 7 volts. I'm having exactly the same issue with the Tugboat and Stillare and Trident V2.
I'm really down in the dumps because I love this device so much. Any recommendations on what to try to remedy it would be greatly appreciated. So far I've tried three different VTC5 batteries, cleaned the positive and negative contacts in the tray and batteries (before I switched them when I had it with the first one), and tried to replicate the problem on my 510 ohm meter, and fired one of the problem RDA's on my DNA 30 fine.
I'm pretty sure it's erratic resistance readings that's the root of the problem, but not 100% certain. But it seems like the resistance is haywire so the volts for the given wattage follows.
The only thing I've done different since I've had it, is I completely charged the battery via USB for the first time yesterday (well topped it off, from about halfway discharged), I've been swapping batteries and using my i4 charger.
Not sure if that was directed at me, ill answer anyways haha. Ya mine are, I actually thought that's what could be causing it, i started tightening them much more when i got the IPV2, we discussed it a few pages back. Not sure what the issue is.Are all your screws tightened down real solid on your RDA's because i have had that issue sometimes but when i really torqued the screws down nothing but steady readings.

Try with a block center post atty, that way you can still get dual coils with rock solid contact on each coil lead.I keep hoping the next big idea will be a solution because I don't want to think about life without the IPV 2 during the warranty claim process. I'm newly in love with low resistance builds on regulated power, and have a mailbox full of goodies headed my way for the IPV 2.
Just last night I was thinking about giving away my 28 guage because it looks so tiny compared to what I've been using.
Next big idea: go home and try a single coil with a very solid connection to avoid the flakiness I'm seeing. And try to use the multimeter to identify exactly where the problem is.

Twist that 28g up or get creative with some sleeper style builds
Does twisted coils really provide better flavor , i can't see how but worth trying.
Elev8vape Black IPV #6200s shipped.
Well eleve8 just emailed me that p4u will not be manufacturing blue and gold units and if I would like to switch colors. I said sure send the silver unit and 5 mins later got my shipping invoice. Yeah buddy
