Quite possibly I'm missing something as I've not been following the thread too closely but, regarding the whole "what does the black look like" debate.. hasn't it been resolved by that VapeNW video? Surely that's the black one they're showing there? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding!

Regarding availability, at least one UK vendor will have a limited stock on Tuesday. I'm trying to decide if I care enough to drive 2 hours (round trip) to go get one in person :) I've got nothing on that day, and it might be nice to have one of the very first ones and maybe put a YT video up about it.

Then again I'm kind of bummed now I've learned that the batteries are in series. I really don't need 100W, but I do like the battery life of 2 x 18650 not one. I assume also that that means that it requires two batteries to function, it won't run on one? Or can it run on one battery at reduced wattage? Has that been confirmed? (And again sorry if that's answered earlier and I missed it.)

Actually that is the silver. VapeNW states as much.

The batteries have always been in series on these dual SX330 board mods, ipv3, sig100,100+,150, now ipv4. Still get great battery life out of my sigelei 150w with the batteries in series. Just as good if not better than my parallel dna40. Plus the efficiency of the board by the specs has increased to 96% so that's cool, I'm not worried about battery life, I'm sure it will be fine.

While I haven't seen anybody try it with one battery the yihi specs indicate the input voltage for the board requires two 18650s in series. I'm sure it won't work with just one battery.

Personally, I don't believe the plastic/rubber battery cover will create any issues at all.
Much ado about nothing regarding the supposed controversy regarding the Black iPV4 final product.
I believe it will be an all black body and buttons with a gunmetal-colored cover.

I'm still going to wait to see what others feedback is though. Too early in the game and I am really
glad I didn't do a pre-order on the product. I get very OCD when it comes to something I've paid for
and have to wait to get it.

I hope to compare this unit with the HCigar HB40 unit to see how they do spec wise.

The only thing that concerns me after watching the VapeNW video IS the plastic battery cover. They said it had ball bearing type pieces in the unit that snap into the plastic indentations on the battery cover. Plastic wears and with changing batteries daily or every other day, I can see these catch indentations wearing out. Eventually people will be using duct tape to hold battery cover on. I hope I'm wrong though.

Duct tape may actually look better than that plastic taco. Haha.

It looks like it should hold up for a year or longer (I hope). I try not to get to interested in longevity with these types of device. If I want a mod that will last for more than a year I will buy a 200 dollar mod. The IPV4 is a inexpensive device.

I have gone through 3 istik 50 watt units in the past three months. Two of the three have been replaced by Ismoka and one of those two is on its way out already as well. If the IPV4 has buttons that last and the unit is sturdy enough to last me for at least a year I will be happy.

Yeah, it is definitely plastic now:

Yeah, that is disappointing. The YouTube videos from P4Y definitely show the cover being metal. When other mods in the same price are features all metal construction, this is a letdown. May

I'm not a fan of the plastic taco either...the metal cover shown in P4Y videos was one of the reasons I pre-ordered. I briefly considered cancelling my order, but I'm actually now considering making my own taco for this thing on Shapeways once I receive the IPV4 and can take measurements.

What emails? Who was the rep that sent them and what is their contact information?

I've shown you exactly where I got my info, including the rep's name and email address. You've told me about emails but have nothing to back any of your claims up. You keep bouncing around the subject and talking about what a vendor told you or showed you, but that's all just hearsay. You claimed there were "lots of pics" of these emails, but you haven't produced a single one. All I've heard from you are unsubstantiated claims and rumors without proof.

I learned a great saying in the Navy.... Put up or shut up.

First off, I was referring to the email snapshots in this thread that someone ELSE posted, in which YOU claimed were likely falsified and that "you could create a photoshopped picture with a response from Obama admitting some crap." Did you forget that? And then you claimed the "black ones" photo from P4Y's FB page was the real black one because it was an "official" source. I never claimed to have any special emails relating to the color of this device.

Have you not gotten anything I've said to you? Partner, I have never claimed validity on anything. The entire reason we started having a debate is because you were telling people that their sources for information were bogus lol. I never claimed ANYTHING other than "we'll see the official colors when we get the device, because P4Y is not reputable and gives out inaccurate info." And posting my opinions on how this company does shady business.

Where would you like me to list a source relating to P4Y not being reputable? I wouldn't even list a source from vendors claiming their issues with P4Y because all you're gunna say about it is what you've been saying: "all vendors lie" and "that's photoshopped, I could do that too." Why would I bother? And why would I, or anybody else here, lie for? What's the point? Some monetary gain?

And as far as my vendors hearsay - dude, it's directly for P4Y. I saw it. It's not hearsay to me. And if you have a problem with me passing on info that I've personally seen from P4Y, I really don't care. This is a forum where news, rumors and discussions take place about a product. If you don't like news, rumors and discussion, then you must be on the wrong website.

Also, in case you haven't noticed yet - your official P4Y source of information on the black IPV4 was wrong. If you want a source: check VapeNW's youtube channel in the comment section where they answered questions. And the IG videos. Not that my source matters, right? It's a vendor and they're all liars. P4Y couldn't possibly have been giving out false, conflicting information again. Wait, I know, I know - ALL technology companies do this.

I'm not exactly sure on how to upload pictures, but I literally just picked my IPV4 up from VaporizerChief. They had the best price I could find online, that's why I preordered with them.

On a sidenote, I gotta say, I would highly recommend VaporizerChief! Really good guys and I hadn't even heard of them until I preordered the IPv4. After meeting them all when I picked this up, I'm really glad I bought it from them! Very honest, welcoming and compassionate about the delays. If you hadn't heard of them either, you should definitely check them out. They received a small shipment of these today until the rest ship out tomorrow. And if you had bought one from them already, just know they're truly coming. It's real lol. It's not vaporware.

I've got my batteries charging now, so if you guys have any questions, I can try and answer them once I get it going!

That's the packaging etc. I know it's been confirmed what the silver model looks like, but now that i have it, it's no longer hearsay.

One interesting thing to note - on the side of the box, "silver" is checked off. Along with boxes Black, Blue, Red and Gold. So maybe there's more color options coming out soon?

Nice! Let us know how you like it.
I'll tell you right now, I'm not a big fan of the build quality. At least, not versus the ipv3. Doesn't feel as solid. I'm not sure if they're scratches or not, but it appears to be scuffed, too. I'll wipe it down, maybe it's just dirty from the factory?

I know it cost less than the ipv3, but I'd be terrified to drop it. Very light, too.

Last picture for now. As you can see, possibly even tell by the size of the actual box, there's no wall charger (real big surprise, coming from the ipv3 launch). I wouldn't use it anyway, but that might piss people off who were expecting it. Anyway, that's all that's in there!

Thanks, glad to see the ugly one is the silver and the black should be all black. Was worried the black would be that one!
