It seems like just about everyone spends more than they did on cigarettes at first. Then the camps divide in two. One camp saves money, and one camp gets a new hobby.
I think this says it all.
I'm in the place, right now, where I will be making a choice.
I have really good basic, non-APV, starter equipment: Kanger Evods and Mini Protanks on eGo-style batteries. Solid stuff. If I stick with this, and there's really no
need to change, I can save oodles of money buying only juice and new heads (I can save even more money by rebuilding the heads myself).
But I gotta admit that I've got some "mod envy." I don't even think I need a "better vape," per se, I just think they're damn fine looking. And
that might convince me to put some more money in. Call it shallow if you want, but I'm into visual aesthetics.
If I do make the latter choice, one of the factors in my decision will be "I didn't start vaping to save money. I started vaping to save my life. It's working, and if I splurge a little, my life is worth it."
So I can spend less this year on vaping than I would smoking, or I can spend more this year on vaping than I would on smoking.
What the OP needs to know is this: that choice is up to me, up to each of us as vapers. If you want to spend less than on smoking, you can. If you want to spend more, you can, but you do not have to.
