When comparing smoking vs vaping costs, I only count juice and the cartos I used to use as those are gone.. either consumed in vapor or died in the case of cartos. This is really the only way I can compare... smokes burn up and are gone soon after purchase. So, I spent $2200.00 a year smoking and I've spent about $350.00 this year on juice and cartos that are no gone... used up. All the rest of what I've spent I still have in the form of functioning assets for future or continuing use.

Well, I started on my vaping journey a few days ago but I have almost broken even, and probably would have had I still lived in Illinois. But on the other side of things, I am already looking at what's next. I have more than enough juice to last me into the week after next, a decent setup, battery and attys. But as I type I look down at my left arm and see 6 lbs. of reason to stay alive longer sleeping on my arm. I have to ask what's the real cost? Switching from analogs was really easy, for me at least, and if I choose, can save me a fortune. Never look back!!

It's much cheaper than cigarettes as long as you don't go crazy buying every apv available. Research your purchases and diy your e-juice, you'll save lots.
I totally agree. It's hard to resist the temptation to buy new stuff, what with all the shiny toys coming out daily, but if you stick with what you need and what works for you, then you'll really save a lot. I make my own juice and use rebuildable attys and now it's been nearly three months since I last spent on vaping gear or supplies.

I bought 220 euros worth of stuff (evic, 2 protanks 2, 3400 battery, 350 ml of juice, 2 evods, 5 coils, wire, wick, backup ego twist + CE4), whereas I would spend around 1100ish euros per year on tobacco (ex hand rolling here).

So basically, in 3 months I would even out and probably still have lots of juice left from my initial investment.

The most important part is not the money though, is the fact that I don't need to smoke anymore :)

well I will break even in two weeks again. then will need to save for another set of batteries for my new mod and more juice ....my juice tastes are boutique flavors so most likely a month more ...that will be 3 month off smokes of for me .....then just juice orders of 45.00 2 times a month and a few bucks for coils each month...unless DIY becomes part of my life ...has 2 ego batteries 1 spinner will have a mechanical mod and a VTR vv vw ...2 protanks...2 miniprotanks 4 evod toppers ...love the bottom coils have passed on all other toppers

my friend however broke even at 3 weeks and has saved over 400.00 dollars in a bit over 3 months....see is still using her knockoffs with top wick tanks and only uses cheap brick and mortar super strong menthol

lucky enough to be able to pass juices not to my liking off to others so glad to have found a couple of vendors that sell super yummy juice mail order now love Alice in Vapeland strongly suggest bit o everything sampler...love creme brulee from nickoticket...won and tried halo shamrock and naked nicotine coffee and cream will continue buying from all 4 brick and mortar juice here is simple one note Chinese imports relabeled dont like those

next month will be at less than 50.00 per month for juice and coils smokes would be 179.00 per month so after hardware is finished being covered will save enough to pay for a good vacation every year not counting savings on clothes not burned meds and doctors visits air fresheners ect

I spent a small fortune up front to figure out what works for me ($300+ in hardware and a good chunk on juice). However, now that I am happy with my equipment and juice selections, the cost has leveled out for me to about $90.00 per month for juice and equipment consumables. Not bad considering smoking analogs was costing me $175.00 per month and killing me. Its easy to get roped into spending tons of money reviewing juice and equipment - there are soooo many options.

I don't intend to steal someone's thread but it's related and I need to get in my 5 ya know. So about a month ago on a whim I bought a Blu starter kit. I've smoked 2-3 packs of straights for 30 years. I've stopped twice for more than a year, almost 2 years once. I ran into a lot of the problems others have mentioned about the Blu system. Battery life and not enough vapor, BUT I could see the potential. My wife tried my Blu and also got interested and bought an iGo3 a couple of days later. She's been a 3 pack + a day for 30 years, never quit once.
5 days ago I got an iGo3 and really like the amount of vapor from it.
She is now down to less than 1/2 pack a day easily. Some days I smoke 3-4 cigs others I get closer to a pack.
I need to get different juice, the stuff I got was good for a couple of days but now is leaving a bad taste in my mouth and the wife says she doesn't like the smell from the vapor, even I can smell the vapor and that's not what I'm going for.
So we have saved a bunch of money in a month and my wife feels good enough that she's going to ask her DR to check her breathing and see if she can go off one of many meds she's on.
We both feel a big difference in such a short time, not hacking at night, early morning, yes we are saving money and our health in our opinion.
