Cigs are 5.00 a pack here. I smoked almost 15 a day. I broke even at 2 weeks. And started saving. My vape budget is 40.00 a month. I diy and rebuild. Some months I sped 0$ on vape gear. Then next month I spent 60 on new mod and 20 on DIY supplies. Still 40 a month average. I mean really juice even premade 30 ml is 12.00 I doubt you'll vape more than 60 ml a month. I vape a lot more than I ever smoked. If you by right and stick to a Budget.

It will likely take me about 4 months to break even from where I am now, and I probably have enough juice to just about last 4 months. I told myself I would stop buying stuff until I've at least broken even - after that I would be really, really hard pressed not to have saved a lot by the end of a year. I won't be buying a Provari every month.

I've been analog free for three months. I used to buy one carton a week @ 80.00 dollars and sometimes depending on what I was doing at work that day, I sometimes ran out and had to buy a second pack to make it through the day.

I think I'm saving money now, (my wife would disagree) =) but so far, I have a eVic, Lavatube 2.0, Zmax V5, Lavatube 2.5 and a Protovapor XPV Mini and a bunch of Protank II's and eVod's and carto tanks.

The positive side of this is that I feel better, sleep better and don't smell anymore.

I stopped buying cigarettes in early-mid-May. I was spending $200+ per month on analogs. So in that time I did not spend about $800 on cigarettes. I have spent about that same amount on vaping - both with hardware and juices. So I'm right around the break even point right now. And I have enough equipment and juice to last me through the winter, so my foreseeable expenses are almost nil. I have 1-1/2 liters of juice on the way, and that should do it! Bring on Old Man Winter! Oh yeah, gotta stock up on food, too! (But that's not vaping!)

You can if you want. I saved 900 bucks in my first year. I am of the mind that I used to smoke a cigarette that I would throw on the ground and crush with my foot. Why would I pay 150 or more for a mod on something I used to crush under my nasty shoe.

DIY liquids is where I tend to save the most. But I am about done with buying mods. They are all similar and do basically the same thing.

It depends on many factors: experience, quantity of daily vaping, hardware adquired, quantity of analog cigarrettes smoked before starting to vape, shopping anxiety for new flavours and hardware, and so on...

For my personal experience, it´s way way higher than analogs, but I´m very happy with this new hobbie.

Best regards from Chile

After my initial startup up costs it's been significantly cheaper using the ecig. That being said, I'm a noob and I'm just starting to check out non tobacco flavored vapes, different styles of ecigs, storage ideas, etc. I've got a feeling that this may go from being a way to get off analogs to a full blown hobby and with that the costs will rise accordingly.....;)

That's been my biggest expense. Figuring out the juice that I like...I buy a bottle or 2 a week at $7.99 each from my local B&M. Tastes great in the building then after a day I don't like it anymore :(

I agree, this is the hardest part when starting out, finding what you can vape day in and day out! But once you do, you're set!

It took me over a year and lots of juices, but it has been all worth it!

I have been on da' vape for 4 years now, I don't get sick, no lung mung, yaking in the morning...and I don't smell like an ash tray.
