In the same vein as the scissors thread and actually mimicking the title, I thought I'd post this thread.
I guess many folks do not have proper tools laying around so they just make do; I understand that but....a toenail clipper?
Using it to cut wicks is just silly. It takes like 3 chomps through the wick to cut it plus the tool itself is hard to work with as it requires a thumb and finger to operate it awkwardly at best. Using it to snip leads sucks too. You can never get close enough to an atty post to really get a good cut and the wear factor will eventually catch up let alone the ability to use them for what they are actually designed for.
Another stupid tool is the mini screwdriver. They are horribly made, strip out heads and you can get no torque on anything with them. Again, for people without tools, I understand. The mini screwdriver is a joke. When I get them with attys they go right into the trash can.
I suppose they could become handy on a key chain when out and about but that's what vape kits are for.
Any other "stupid tools" out there?
