So, I'm starting to add things up. I was a PAD smoker, malboro menthol full flavor. When I first started vaping I was on 18mg. But I instantly got these awful migranes. I stopped vaping for a while, but had went broke and started using my ecig again (when I first started I ordered some 12mg 60pg/40vg)
I filled my new tank with the 12mg mix. I've been analog free since thursday. I do know that you can have nausea and headaches from quiting but these are my symptoms

1. Low grade headache
2. Nausea after vaping more then 6 puffs
3. Today I actually broke out in hives. I still have some, even after taking some benadryl BUT I did something today I haven't done. I mixed my 12mg 60/40 with an 11mg ejuice I had bought from the shop (idk pg/vg ratio)
4. My ears feel full even after yawning/popping and my sinus are killing me!

Again I'm sure 3/4 are due to stopping analogs, but the hives worry me. I use the mystart 650 from ecigcharleston.com so I'm not sure of the lowest pg/vg ratio I can do but I know I need some pg to get a decent flavor. Help!!!!!!

HIVES!!

That's a PG sensitivity right there. PG sensitivity also causes headaches and nausea, but so do a lot of other things. Hives however is an allergic reaction.

Stop using your ecig right now and look for 100% VG juice. VG juice can be diluted with distilled water if it's too thick for your ecig.

If I quit the ecig I start smoking I can handle hives to a point. Haha. I'm determined but it sucks

I'm just figuring that being where I was as a smoker 12mg may be light. When I was using the ecigcharleston.com juice my throat actually broke out to what looked like strep the next day. That was with 18mg. Once I switched to the zeus it wasn't bad, minus the small headache and nausea but once I mixed in more of the ecigchs juice the hives started. I'm calling them tom to verify there ratio

Could be the flavorings, too.

For your health, and your continued vaping success, please approach this in a structured way:

1) Buy some 100% VG unflavored juice in your nic strength

2) Buy some 100% PG unflavored juiice in your nic strength

Err on the lower nic side, so go with 12mg.

After you try each of those for a 1-3 days, exclusively, not in same 48-72 hours, you will know.

If no symptoms from either of these, then suspect flavorings.

If symptoms from VG, then you're VG sensitive (people ARE sometimes)
If symptoms from PG, then you're PG sensitive (more common)

:)

It shouldn't even require that.

Considering the hives we are talking about an actual allergy, not just a sensitivity. Just go to a vape shop and ask them if you can sample a 100% PG juice with zero flavor or nicotine. 5-10 good puffs should be all it will take to induce a reaction. If you feel ill or break out in hives you have your answer, and you haven't spent a dime.

Likewise if you have no reaction at all then it's probably the VG you're allergic to, but the odds are it's going to be the PG.

With a 100% PG juice, yes, it will be that quick.

If it's an allergy it's not going to take a lot of time to rear it's ugly head. You'll know within minutes. Just make sure you feel fine before you walk into the store, and if you don't feel just as good when you leave you'll have your answer. After all, you won't be exposed to anything other than the PG.

Well luckily I get off early enough tomorrow I can go to the shop before they close. Hopefully they have 100% I'm draining my tank right now and filling it with my original 60/40 and hope at least the hives go away. For some dumb reason I've still been vaping on the old mix (i can't help the peach taste amazing) but I'm still broke out .
