I'm actually lined up with a bone MD who won't operate on a smoker. I wonder how he will react to a vaper. Funny how that works isn't it...
I vote breast enlargement! What, you said "elective"There are many surgeries you are better off having,,,,,,,,but aren't completely necessary. Breast reduction,,,,,,,placement of a cochlear implant, etc,,,,,,
I probably used the wrong word,,,,,elective would have been a better word![]()
Just my personal experience, but caffeine affects my BP more than nic ever has. I go to the dentist 4x per year and they always check BP. Over the years, I have noticed that regardless of how many analogs I smoked, or how much vaping I do before I go, my BP is always normal UNLESS I have had 1 Coke. If I have had a Coke that day my BP is elevated. Not enough to be a major concern, but elevated by a noticeable degree none the less. Also my wife who was a long term smoker and now a vaper used to have high BP until she stopped drinking caffeinated beverages. Now her BP is back to normal with no medications and with still vaping 18mg/ml juice.
Nicotine raises blood pressure. The question is, does the nicotine in juice raise it more that the nicotine in tobacco somke.
I'm not going to go into doctor incompetence.. I could get into trouble, a few different ways, by getting on that topic related to myself.
Back when I first started smoking at 18 and out of the house on my own, my non-smoking Mom was concerned naturally, and felt that I needed to go talk to our family doctor. So, I set up an appointment with him to please her. Of course, he gave me all the health reasons about why I needed to quit then and it was pretty obvious my Mom had a long discussion with him prior to my appointment.
One day later...he comes to the Exxon I was working at to fill up his motorcycle and walks up to the window to pay while...smoking a cigarette. He was so embarrassed to get caught out especially after all of HIS advice to me. Do as I say, not as I do? And that was the day when my mistrust of doctors began...since then I have trusted three, maybe...![]()
Choose your poisons throughout life. To ignore the fact that nicotine is a stimulant though is just silly. Moderation is the key.
My only comment to this is WIKIPEDIA is NOT a credible source. For ANYTHING. It is a joke of a site where anyone can put anything on it without backed up substantial evidence based credit. It is not a credible source for citing anything in ANY level of collegiate writing. If you cite Wiki, you automatically fail the assignment.
True fact: Breathing oxygen for ~80 years has been shown to result in death.
I dunno, seems pretty accurate to me ...
Wiki shouldn't be considered the last word on anything, but it's a great starting place on most things. It's updated regularly, and while people can edit it and put nonsense, like what you posted, that nonsense doesn't tend to last long. The pic you posted may have never been public. Anyone could do that on their own computer without it ever actually getting posted to wiki. Most likely, they edited it, posted it, screen shot it, and the page was fixed within minutes.
