The mouse thing is probably related to a touchpad anomaly if it is a touch pad type mouse. If not, I'd update the driver, clean the optical sensor inside and/or the ball and rollers. Other than that it might be something in the editing software for the forums.
When that happens to me, it's a proximity thing with the scroll section of my touchpad. I keep it enable so I can scroll with my finger. It's a pain sometimes, though. It senses my skin when I don't want to scroll and my cursor ends up in never never land.
A few days ago Microsoft Security Essentials caught and quarantined a virus rated as severe while I was online to ECF. I exited FireFox and dealt with the virus in the vault by deleting it. It was a java exploit that was contained in a temp directory.
After I got clean and rebooted, ECF was off line for a while. The IP address wouldn't respond to a ping or even an NSLookup. They were down. I think it went
through the board and to users who were online. I never heard an announcement about it.
Everyone might want to do a quick scan just in case.
