Is the istick the new Provari?

I own two istick 20W and both threads are worn. I am using two sided tape just to vape on them. SUCKS LEMONS Big time. Any suggestions??

I use an istick 20W with the bending adapter when I'm at work because it folds down and fits nicely in my vest pocket. It saves the threads and also has a floating pin so it always makes a good connection.

Get another and use an adapter(even if not needed)They do have weak threads.

Even with threads stripping out it doesnt justify to me spending $150 on a mod, not when an Istick 20w is going for $21 on fast tech with free delivery.

I been having an Istick 20W for about 6 months now and not a problem in the world with the threads and its a daily use one. Also have an Istick 50W for about a week now, plus a Clopper mini. The Istick's are perfect to me for Kayfun Lites because I can stand them up with no problems and the kayfun lite wont leak. With a Provari i would have the same problem I have with my Vamo, its hard to stand it straight up so cant use kayfun lites on it unless i want to deal with leaks all the time.

It doesnt matter what I spent on smoking, I find it hard to justify spending that kind of cash on a mod but I can understand those who did are proud of them. To each their own I always try to believe.

Not everyone who vapes is sub-ohming or dripping. I have different mods/setups for different situations. It's like a car. If you're going to get groceries, you're not gonna take the corvette. There's alotta old school vapers that still vape the old school way. Time and place for everything.

somehow subohm and cloud chasing is supposed to be all there is to vaping now, like everything else just suddenly ceased to exist.

Its funny everyone buying 150 w box mods yet 2/3 of the users run them under 30 watts


On a side note, if your kayfun leaks you need to fix your setup. Mine lays on my car seat all day and not a drop.

something is wrong with your Kayfuns ... I have 7 of them on Provaris, and they have never leaked.

I agree i was diggin in a box the other day and found one half full from a month ago when I got my k4. Forgot to clean it like I wanted to and was still not leaking

I would have to venture a guess and say the package probably had TOgether BEst COrporation written on it




If people don't want to own a provari, big deal, dont own one then. Mine is around 4 years old now and even though i dont use it, the reliability has paid for its self 10 fold.


But trying to compare a provari to some rinky dink plastic disposable that wont even be produced in 6 month's after china has moved on to something else is silly.

The Provari is a classic Tootle Puff ... that iStick 50 seems like it wants to sub ohm with the big boys ... when in reality, it appears to not even be safe for Tootle Puffin.

Naaa nothing new there. People been whining about everything a provari doesnt do since it was introduced.

Single buttun, waaa. button too soft, waa. no wattage, no ego thread, only 3 colors, on and on.

Yet the provape subforum is 6 miles long filled with plenty of satisfied owners. At one time i had 6. And i will never get rid of the one i still have

Say what you want, buy what you want. But my threads still look new, my button never broke and it has never caught fire

If you want something that will last, find a mod with quality 510 connection, replaceable battery, and a proven, durable chipset.

aaah, it's nice to see a ProVari debate once again.

Once one becomes a "dedicated vaper" I think it's a good idea to buy a reliable device that fits your own vaping style. ProVari has been that for me for years and I expect will be for quite sometime. Of course, YMMV.

The isticks are fun and have many fine qualities -- especially the 30 watt. Great little product at a very low price...and it's a re-chargeable disposable. When it dies I'll probably pick up the latest fad or fashion....or another istick!
Both ProVaris and iSticks fit into my "collection" quite well --- especially the Ti's (titanium 2.5 & P3)

I easily recommend people have both! Either would be a great "2nd" device for a new (or veteran) vaper.

I saw a post somewhere in the iStick thread to put an o-ring around the threads of the atty then screw it into the iStick. I figured what the hell…..I might as well try it cause I was tired of trying to *fix* the connection. That o-ring worked. I used it for maybe another 2 days after that then gave it away.

Lol, I get a kick out of how most threads get derailed and turn into arguments irrelevant to the OP. Though, the OP in this thread was poor from the get-go. I also laugh at how people use the whole, ' vape with what works for you' as their argument. People that can't afford the popular mods, justify it by saying they're not worth it or that somthing else works just as good. Hahaha.
