OP, very few people regret buying a Provari. I love mine.

HanaModz are sick. I'd own one right now if I had the money for it. I might get a 2nd Provari 1st :p
And before I get a 2nd Provari I'm definitely getting a Reo Grand, and maybe another tube mech mod.
But as long as you have a Provari in your rotation, your good. The rest is just fun.

I couldn't resist it any longer, I pulled the trigger on a REO Grand and a Reomizer last night. Which was kind of silly given that I have a VMod sitting in front of me that is still new in the box. Nonetheless, I can't wait until it gets here.

I think if I hadn't already bought a bunch of other mods and had just stuck to a Provari with extension cap, and a Reo Grand, I would be completely satisfied and wouldn't have bought any more mods out of necessity. Instead, I got my provari, but I failed to get the Reo Grand right away. That was my mistake. I tried to fill the Reo Grand void obviously, and now I've got all these mods I don't need :p Of course, if I bought a Provari and Reo Grand 1st, I'd probably deliberately be buying mods that I don't need now, instead of saving up for a Reo Grand... So, yknow, theres a paradoxical seaenemity to all this stuff.

I've never tried an eVic. Can you change the power level with one hand while zipping down a freeway without looking at it?

Yes you can! Quite easily----and some might say too easily, tho it didn't take me long to know to not fiddle with that "wheel".

I have it set to watts being displayed. One "flick" of that wheel, and it's up or reverse it and it's down .1. I don't have to look at it.

And to the OP --

Yes, the Provari is worth it. It sounded almost like you were doing a promotion for it when you listed what you wanted in a mod as those words are often some of the ones used to describe the Provari.

two words.....Hell Yes!

I just celebrated 10 months being entirely cigarette free and I attribute a huge part of that success to finding the right device. I dont think I would trust my recovery as it were, to something less reliable or consistent.

You wont be sorry.

What I'd like to see on the eVic is a LOCK feature so you could set it and forget it similar to the SVD. That would be great.

Before I was a member of these forums I was reading a thread similar to this with no intent to buy a provari, I was just curious if people really though it was worth it to spend that much. What do you know my mod that I was using at the time just stopped firing. I don't want to start anything so I won't mention which one it was but a lot of people do have them. I was lucky that my local store replaced it for me even though it was a few months old. After reading about how reliable the provari is and that fact that it has a warranty and the fact that you can get it repaired after the warranty I ended up getting a v2 in blue on the clearance page. I don't regret it at all, I use it all day and most of the night. I do go though the 18490s in 3-4 hrs but the 18650s almost double that.

I have an RSST sitting on a Loki Labs pro ring right now and couldn't be happier. The RSST is almost perfect (wish it was 22mm for cosmetics sake but that's not that important) for the provari since it has an insulated wick hole. Makes for easy set ups with the protected device.

I don't regret it one bit, the cost will cover itself over time because even if it dies the repair costs are low. It will outlast the less expensive mods many times over (my opinion of course) and the consistency of the vape is on par with the best out there.

I also want a REO because I like the box shape and I don't own a bottom feeder. I was looking at the Vmod, and I'm sure they are nice too, but after experiencing the difference with the provari vs what I was using I think I'll skip a step and get the REO as my first bottom feeder. I just ordered supplies to DIY my juice so I can save money to justify the REO because at the end of the day the provari RSST combo is all I really need. I really want to break even with my analog cost before I get a REO, just a goal that I'm not doing very well at, but if I can make it to the 16th of September I'll be $3.20 in the black......for a few seconds until my order for that REO is accepted

What I don't get is why Baditude and you didn't turn to me when you decided to expand into bottom-feeder territory. You saw what it did to me going from Provari to Reo, a bobaholic and serial dripper to boot. If not for the mod, then for the community surrounding it. Just like Provari.

Reos have a solid & friendly supportive side. If I had to guess, I'd say ya looked at everything besides Reos at first like Nick does with provape, and went with vmod or something else "because it wasn't a Reo" You are my friends but ya made me scratch my head this time.

Then again, between the bobo and gripper who can tell what's going on in RHP's friends worlds. We all just celebrated Ocey's 1 year off the stinkies together and that's all that matters, not what's in your hand.

Unless it's a bobo, folks.

I don't change my power levels a lot, I just set it and forget it, but with the evic to change the level, I use 2 hands, 1 to hold it, one to turn the ring. With the provari its a one handed change.

Huh? Wait, what? I NEVER found myself using two hands because...it just wasn't necessary. The evic I can change options with one hand; menu, options, voltage/wattage, etc. I just tried your "2 hand" approach and damn...it's damn difficult. Are you making it difficult for yourself by using two hands???

I'm giving serious thought to ordering a blue Provari. I've read lots of good things about the Provari but am still hesitant to pop that much cash on a mod. I like the fact that it's American made but is it really that much better to warrant the price?

Undoubtedly.

If your inexperienced I say go for it, I started off a few years ago with an ego-like device, moved onto an ego twist, then a provari and I had the provari for a long time. I really liked it, i ended up trading it for a mechanical some time down the road, long after I had purchased my first mech. The bright side of the Provari is that its idiot proof, almost anything that you put on it atomizer wise is going to work unless the resistance is too low, you cant run it too low, it shuts off, its vv, so you can choose how hot or cold you want to run it, the vape is consistent throughout the battery life, theyre tough, real tough. The warranty is outstanding, atleast for the duration of the warranty (most mechanicals are buy at your own risk and carry no warranty). For a novice vaper (and even some pro vapers) the Provari is an excellent machine and sometimes I wish I still had one. My biggest problem with mine was that when I wanted to get rid of it, all the value was gone from it and I got close to nothing for it (not really actually traded it for a mortar tube ss and a nimbus with an 18350 battery :) ) Theres plenty of other vw/vv mods out there but the provari is easily used and understood, reliable and easy to turn around and trade or sell for the most part if you want to let it go in the future.

Ok, I'm still going to get a Provari but now I'm off to check out Reo.

Have you tried dripping with a Cisco spec, Empire spec or Ahlusion spec dripping atty as well as an RDA built using micro-coils? If not, I would very much encourage you to do so before deciding whether to get a Reo or Provari first. There is very little disagreement that dripping produces the best taste but manual dripping is not a practical choice for on the go and can be tedious for many, even at home.

Bottom feeders like the Reo will allow you to have all the benefits of the convenience of a tank with dripping taste and performance. You can get the same with a tube mod using an AMP Tank but you are limited to pre-built attys and the AMP Tanks are very expensive. Also, while AMP Tanks with VW produces my dream vape I would not recommend them for a trucker as they have glass tanks that would likely break at some point from being bounced around on a rough road. A Reo with an atty is pretty much as indestructible as vaping gear gets.
