Have you noticed that you're gaining or losing weight with e-cigs? I checked on the health forum and there is little current info so I thought I'd check in with my V4L family. I know that smoking increases our metabolism, but is the same true with the nicotine we're vaping?

I know, I know...what's important is that I'm getting healthier each and every day that I don't smoke. So far I've maintained my weight, I exercise regularly, eat a healthly plant-based diet, and am vain enough to admit that I want to look good too! ;);););););););););););););););););););););)

my weight fluctuated a little at first- a small gain nowhere near the gain I would get after quitting analogs. Have lost all of that - but need to drop about 6-10 pounds to get to where I should be weight wise. the loss seems slower then I'm used to. BUT I'm not working as hard at it either.

I didn't know anything about this smoking metabolism thing. I thought the reason people gained weight when they quit was because of the oral fixation thing....and nervousness from withdrawal. They just ate more...

My understanding is that it's a combination of both: analogs raising your metabolism and the oral fixation thingy.
