Hi, I'm just wondering if this is how it happens: I went from a pack and a half of analogs a day to vaping....at first for about the first week i went down to about a pack, then the second week three-quarters a pack, then the next week a half a pack, now yesterday I only smoked 5 cigarettes, I truly can't believe it:). It makes me feel good knowing that vaping seems to actually work! I found though that at first i was vaping just sweet dessert juices and when i got some tobacco juice, it really made a difference, i just hope i can keep it up and lower my analog consumption to zero! One thing though, my mod never left my hand, is that normal?

That's fantastic! And yes, that's how it's supposed to happen..... for you :) We all take slightly different steps to get there so what ever works for you is wonderful. You should be very proud of your progress, remember don't beat yourself up for the cigs you still smoke, but rejoice in the ones you didn't.

Congrats that is a HUGE difference! And yes, it's normal to always have a grip on your mod, or at least it was certainly normal for both my husband and I. I still carry mine around like it's a life preserver....and I guess in a way....it actually is. Hope things continue smoothly for you, you're doing wonderfully! :)

First off, you're well on your way... Everyone drops analogs in a different way. For me, it was pretty much cold turkey once I started vaping. Heather weaned herself off of analogs much in the same way you are doing. We both wouldn't be caught dead without our PVs handy... Your doing great! Keep it up!

Hi Dan - first of all, congratulations!! What an accomplishment for you - as others have said, you should be very proud of yourself. Everyone's journey is different, so however you are able to make it down to zero stinky sticks is great! For me, as soon as I got my first kit I quit analogs that day with my first inhale on the e-cig (it was a little KR808D-1 that I still have and still works). And, as fate would have it within 8 days I was down to 0-nic. I have been happily vaping 0-nic on my 9 beautiful mods ever since - and I am coming up on my 1 year smoke free anniversary on July 13. And I usually carry at least 3 mods around with me all day long, so don't feel bad about vaping too much. Vaping quickly became a way of life for me and a great hobby - I have met some absolutely fantastic people here on ECF who have become good friends. I just love vaping!! :)

I want to wish you the very best of luck on your continued journey. YOU CAN DO IT! :)

Well, if I haven't said it to you yet (or even if I have, I guess) Welcome to ECF!

1) That's probably exactly how it's supposed to happen for you.
2) Nice Avatar with ECF on TV and the little juice bottles on the table. lol.
3) There's a withdrawal from tobacco for many, but not all, of us. So as long as you know that, you can get by for the 2 weeks that it takes to go tobacco free while vaping. It's not too bad if you vape through it. Read up more. There are "symptoms" of quitting... while your body rids itself of the toxins.

Keep up the good fight and congrats on cutting down! Every cig avoided is a win.

EDIT: lol Beans. I typed that and then read your reply. Sorry to copy-cat.
