Do any of you vapers still smoke a few analogs once in awhile? If so, how many a day?

I don't know how many of you are students in college but I am. I've been vaping for only a couple weeks and a half but I still smoke about 3 or 4 analogs a day. It's hard when I am waiting for class and people next to me are smoking. Also, being a college student, I usually find myself at the bars on the weekends or on rare occasions, house parties where I lose everything when I'm drunk so bringing my pv seems illogical.

Another thing that kills me is FINALS and MIDTERMS! I haven't gone through those since I've been vaping but I'm scared once I do. Finals and midterms make me stress more than anything. On past occasions, I've smoked 2 packs a day during finals. Lets home that I can resist the urge!

I started back in Nov '08 with my first e-cig..... at the time, I was a 2.5-3 pack a day smoker.

After the first week I was down to 6 cigs a day. I couldn't believe how well the e-cig worked after 30+ years of being a heavy smoker.

But, my life is complicated & painful following a long time healing after an accident of pedestrian vs car, so my levels and tolerances are up and down so much that I keep bouncing back and forth between 1/2 a pack and 1 pack per day. Still a far cry from the 3 packs I was smoking before, but I'm thankful every day for the accomplishments I've made so far in comparison.

Hopefully one day I can return to working, or at least being "near" pain-free to better concentrate on completely going off the stinkies. But, until then, I enjoy the opportunity of commending myself for the harm reduction I've accomplished, and the many I've introduced & helped along the way to get others off of cigarettes.

So, to all those who have managed to reduce their intake of stinkies, or to the ones who have managed to quit them completely...... I CONGRATULATE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU in your accomplishments !

I started vaping on a Thursday and had 1 analog that Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, I started vaping very heavy and have not had one since and it's been 9 days:)

I needed to vape more to satisfy the beast. There are cigs in the house ( my husband smokes) but I can not touch them. I've been down that road before and I don't have the inner strength to only smoke 1 or 2. With me, it's all or nothing. So I have to give my all to my 510. I want my lungs to get better. 30 yrs of smoking has given me quite a bit of emphysema and made me out of breath:(

I DO want to mix up a new juice that would be my "911 emergency situation " juice and carry that lil bottle with me. Something in a stronger strength and maybe make it "Red Hot Cinnamon" flavor so that if I was having a nic fit, it would knock my socks off. It would feel stronger and spicier and might be a good "Plan B" juice if the Nic-fit anxiety started. Thus far, that anxiety or withdrawal hasn't happened but I wannna be prepared in case it does!

Oh I totally understand this feeling!!! I am in my senior year of getting my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. To say school is stressful is a total understatement! I just made it through midterms with no relapse. Big sigh of relief. I think my true test will be when I sit for the national licensing exam next June. That test is a real monster.

One thing that helps me out, and was in fact a deciding factor in me quitting analogs, is the patients I see in the hospital everyday. 4/5 of my patients have COPD, diabetes, congestive heart failure, asthma, amputations, and all the other yucky stuff. The primary reason they have these ailments is from years of smoking. I realized very quickly that my 1-1.5 pad habit for the past 16 years was not good. I had this "aha" moment that if I did not get my crap together, I was going to end up in the exact same situation. I also have a niece that loves to mirror my behaviors, and if she ever picked up a ciggy because she saw her aunt to it, I would never forgive myself. My patients and my niece are what keep me from ever desiring an analog ever again. But.......at the end of the day, I really did quit for me. :)
