Is this proper thread etiquette?

Is it appropriate to post a question about something that I know has been covered somewhere? I figured out how to search the forum, but I find a sea of threads, and in most cases, would take too long to find my answer. I figure it may be helpful for new comers that would not think to ask the question.

If you have a question and don't have time to look through the pages using a search, I'd probably post it in the New Members forum to avoid anybody complaining about you not using the search.

I think it is ok. I think almost every question on the forum has been answered a thousands times over.

I don't think that it really matters - people here are pretty tolerant. Most new people to ECF and new to eCigs have a lot of questions, and many don't know how to properly use search, but will learn as time goes by....
