I was a 2 PAD(some days more) guy, at an average of $4 per pack. Pushing $250 a month, easy.

Since I bought my first rechargeable e-cig(1/28/14), an overpriced VV eGo with a CE4(which I happily admit in retrospect was one of the best investments of my life), I have less than $200 in evod batteries and evod/t3s clearos, along with coils. TOTAL!

Factor in probably $200 in juices, and I have "saved" about 60%.

No complaints on my part.

I think we all overspend when we first start. I know I read threads about various tanks and batteries and juices on this forum and often need to try them. I finally stopped buying "stuff" just because it looked pretty or appealed in other ways. Now I just buy juice (more than I need, of course, because I am still reading these threads, LOL). Cigs here are $7/pack and I bought 2 a day so that's around $100/wk. Even in the beginning, that was my budget (what I paid for 1 week's worth of cigs/mo) so, yes, I am saving $300/mo and my health (so really you could add in doctor visits, meds, etc. if you have any smoking-related health issues).

I think in the long run I will save by a long shot. I smoked. New ports and in NJ they are about 8 bucks a pack and I was a PAD. while vaping I go through 15 to 25ml a week so the math says I should come out way better but with a lot of things that are new to you I've been trying to find the perfect set up for me as well as some go to juices which has inspired a case of gear/juice lust which should taper off soon (I hope). All in all I still think I'm winning right now.

I agree with a lot here that vaping can be as cheap or expensive as we allow it to be. In reality, I only really need a couple ego style batteries for back-up, an itaste vv v3 or MVP, and a couple of tanks and 50ml of e-juice a month. Some of my friends and co-workers are getting along extremely well doing just that. It's starts getting equally expensive or more when you starts getting into the I want this stage.

I don't really think I'm saving money yet. Not noticeably. I made myself buy cheap analogs after the prices kept going up. Was only spending an average of $4 a day. It did make it easy to switch to vaping though since they were a bit harsh on the throat. I'm always trying new things, also, and passing the old ones on to those that are converting :) Sharing the wealth and hoping to someday have a little more in my pocket!

Well. I haven't put it into numbers, but if I must, I must. I was a 5-10+ analog-a-day smoker, rollies, a pack (hey, it was organic) cost $14, and lasted about 10 days. I don't remember my last cigarette, but it must have been 3 months by now, which would have been $42 per month, which is $126. I've spent well north of $500 on stuff since then, and I don't really see much of an improvement for the future. I'm still figuring out what's good, tasty, and cost-efficient.

I am pretty much done with the initial outlay, from eCig, to Spinner, to ProVari, with two clearomizers, a R91 and IGO-W. Also included is coil and wick making material. Many thanks to ECF for all the info to make the right choices!

Now I'm exploring juices. The month of May was close to $100 on vapemail, but I'm already down to 3mg juice (mixture of 6mg and zero). I'm a chain vaper, so I go through 30ml in about 3 days. I love my LVS (Local Vape Shop), so I stop by and get some different juice every week, which works out to $120 a month on juice on top of the vapemail. That's $220 a month. Yikes!

Vaping is costing me about similar amount to smuggled tobacco from the car boot sale (considerably cheaper than duty paid baccy from the shop). Apart from liquid, the main cost is atomiser heads, the Liberty Flights ones are £2.99 - they claim 2 - 3 weeks life, but I'm lucky if I get 1! Premiere-cigs.co.uk atomisers are £1.50 but the quality isn't as good - and I'd have to buy the compatible tank.

Its taking a bit of effort to track down suppliers of atomiser rebuild consumables - and you can only rebuild an atomiser so mant times before the parts wear out.

I have been going a little crazy buying vape products and I've still managed to save about $200 between me and my husband in the last 2 months. I have bought 2 ego starter sets($20 each on eBay), my MVP ($40 on eBay), my mechanical mod ($60 for everything needed using eBay) , 4 tanks ($54 for all of them) and I have about 20 juices if that tells you anything lol. You can save money.

Vaping is in its pure form is much cheaper than smoking. An Ego battery once every 3-6 months, 2-3 CE4 tanks every 2-3 months, 2 30 ml bottle of juice a month. Less than $100, 4 cartons of gigs $200. Health, Breathing, Not Smoking, Priceless.

Shineyitus on the other hand is a bottomless pit from which there is no return.

I'm saving money big time. I'm a conservative vaper - buy what I need. Did lots of research so I got what I needed and wanted right away.
I'm in Ontario in Canada and analogs are very expensive. One other option was reserve cigarettes -which can sometimes be tricky to find-and often harsh and kind of crappy. (I would sometime tie knots in them.) And in certain places if you knew someone who knew someone
you could find hot cigarettes at a good price.

I guess what I am saying is not only am I saving money, I am saving time not having to hunt for cheap smokes. And I'm not breaking the law.

Vaping has made my life a whole lot easier.

I'd have to check - but I think the ego is the same thread as the 510 fitting. I bought a cheap clearomiser starter kit which I think is possibly ego, the battery fits all the 510 stuff I already had, but the clearomiser won't go on my 510 battery.

Apparently 510 is the most common thread, so its easier to shop around for good prices.

Once you have made your initial purchases and are satisfied with what you have, it is easy to stabilize at a dollar a day.

Ego threading is 510 plus eGo. With eGo threading, you can use a larger variety of devices, including 510. The eGo threading is on the outside of the attachment area.
